Do anyone encounter dat windows update ask u to update ur computer to Window XP service pack 3? I afraid dat it will change my setting n customization bcoz i using vista transformation pack. So, will it giv problem to my computer? Can anyone gv sum comment?

my 1st rule in using any OS.
no theme. it doesn't worth dat meks ur OS visually nicer but pay much performance penalty.

suggest u get rid of the transformation pack & upgrade xp3.

i prefer outlook ma.. looks like windows vista.. is cool coz i know my comp cant support vista.. u haven answer me my Q. will it be any prob if i update 2 Win XP 3?

there's a software call window blinds that uses graphic card performance instead of computer performance to theme os, therefore it doesn't slows down computer but it improves.



i think it depends on how your vista transformation pack works.. where you got that from?

If I'm not mistaken Vista Transformation Pack 8 is made for SP2 only, but many users claim that it works without a problem on their SP3. However, many also complained that it does not work on SP2 and SP3.

isn't dis the same. using ur h/w resources as well.

ps, theme increases the chances of explorer crash if u not careful enough.

Hii there..i'm using XP Sp3....clean install..nothing different then SP2..all driver work...so dunno what is different compare to SP2..installed it on acer 4920..thx

for me im nt usin VTP bt playin wit interface la..
i used uxtheme patch for enable me to use 3rd party theme, bt afte i upgraded to sp3, d previous uxtheme patch cnt work anymor, js hv to use another version of uxtheme patch for sp3 den oni can use back 3rd party theme..nw everytin workin js like before (for interface la)..

sp2 cannot install probably on acer 4920 unless u have achi driver

SP3 is actually quite a minor patch, mostly security and bug fixes that you may not realize. It does not slow down or speed up your computer but may make some programme to work or to not work.

Yeah, but it's actually not really a big deal. Considering the fact that you get to admire at the beauty of your desktop everytime you use the computer.

The same old XP theme really is very very dull and boring =_="

If you guys are afraid of explorer crash and problems, try Zune desktop theme. Been using it for over a year without problem, because it is made by microsoft.

I had upgraded my XP SP2 to SP3 this morning and nothing change much ... i think changes made on the hotfix ba...
I also use VTP in SP2, it changes everything on my explorer and taskbar after I changed to SP3 ... anyone succesful upgrading to SP3 with full features of VTP?

OK, here it goes, I just telling on the method which works for me:

After installing your SP3, check for your SP3 version in My Computer, like mine is v.3264, then go to the link below to search for your Uxtheme.dll:
http://www.withinwindows.com/uxtheme-patches/


Go to download Replacer, a software to switch the old version of your Uxtheme.dll with the new one and follow its steps:
http://www3.telus.net/_/replacer/

After that, install your VTP and reboot as well, dadang!!! It back to your Vista feel even in SP3!!! Try and see...

cannot use chinese star at sp3 coz i try b4...error coming out.....

anyone tried older versons of chinese star on sp3?

try once, when start the application it just no respond. i mean the chinese star won't work....
