QUOTE(lichyetan @ Oct 4 2008, 12:24 PM) back to using my old e8400(C0)... after playing with quaddies, i realise the importance of gtl references values... for dual core, u also need to get it right, i got to arround stable value of the exact needed reference voltage of my e8400, now i only need 1.25v in bios to get it stable @ 3.8 compare to last time 1.3v+.... still cant get my q9550 perfectly stable on my P35 UT, random BSOD after passed 15-20 loops of IBT, over 3.2 ghz this problem will happens on the quaddies... mayb need better mobo... ? bro....those vcore are in bios or after droop ya? QUOTE(-pWs- @ Oct 4 2008, 01:02 PM) You need P45 or x48 DFI board. Remember i having random BSOD in my DK P35? Now change to DK P45. Not even once random BSOD. -pWs-my p35 dk bsod while F@H with stock clock

QUOTE(168257061 @ Oct 11 2008, 01:30 PM) 1.275vcore not stable in ibt and orthos. 1.3vcore got it right. [attachmentid=625064] but this proc shame on 4.5ghz , 1.475vcore to stable. not a shame at all ...hardly find any e8400 that does that nowdays...... somemore ur droop is very kao lat.... so i think its very powah edi ur vcore in cpu after droop is what ar? 1.41v?

its half true..
but the real truth was teh vid table.
on C0's and a few unlucky steppings before.. the vid table changes based on mobo/stessing of wrong voltages.. aka gtl/vtt. etc.. hence the instability.. not really a degradation .. so just a myth...
i had a e8500 that changes vid 5 times on different mobos...
E0's doesnt seem to have this issue.
google intel vid table and u will understand.. actually mine E0 8600 is showing different vid on diff mobo too.... on p35 dk it was 1.25 n now on p45 dk its 1.1

every proc are different bro... it depends on how good ur chip is... n what proc u are talking about...
i have a fren who manage to get 4.5ghz with e8400 on this mobo with 1.46v iirc.... but then his chip is quite a goood one tho....
