You brought it to Zitron or upgrade on your own?
emm, until now I still can't get time to go there to upgrade, but so far it don't restart already. 

I upgraded myself... I now have a newly "baked" Cookie... hehe... 

I encountered some problem while trying to upgrade, but there's a lot of help in the mylgcookie forum and good instruction on how to upgrade the firmware. So I dared myself to do it myself 

After upgrading, I found I had problem when trying to edit the picture with the default photo program. Got error msg mentioning about max memory achieved or something. So I did the most sanely thing to do by turning the power off my cookie and take out the battery for a few seconds. Then putting it back and turning the power back on. After that, no more problem. My cookie photo program running as normal.

I followed the guides from mylgcookie.

Yesterday I went to Zitron's representative office in KKinabalu and asked about the upgrading firmware to the latest. They said that for Cookie, they do not have the latest version... ie the V10c only. Laoya betul laa.. hehe...

I guess the others are busy playing games on their Cookie... haha...

but today Im having problem with my linux install/upgrade and the games I downloaded are in the linux partition... *sigh*

No have to download linux (kubuntu) and reinstall... and copy the games to window partition.

Ive finish The Settlers game.
I wonder which game to play next... *hmmm*
Maybe the wrestling. I tried it for a while... quite a nice game.

Im having problem with Castle Magic. Anyone able to play that game on their Cookie? When I tried Castle Magic, the game hang.. not doing anything...

On game recommendations... hmmm  depending on one's personal taste. For me I like strategy games... thus my pick is The Settlers. For arcade... I play WWE legends. Now Im playing Sims2.

Me still exploring the java games. Maybe a seasonned player can give better recommendation.

p/s: do you notice that Lowyat forum keep changing their forum grouping. Its confusing la... *sigh*

Ive been playing with the my cookie camera.
Seems like its difficult to get a sharp picture. Maybe my problem is finding the focussing point so that the object that I want to snap is sharp. I tried ensuring the object in the center of the screen view... but still the object is somewhat out of focus. Anyone has any suggestion?

Yup, just got myself Sims 2. Sooo big, need ~2.8+GB ... gilaaa. Had to moved some of my files to different drives.. haha.. What to do, got  poisoned already.

I tried the game, still learning... very new to Sims 2 (SimCity pernah main la... the others belum lagi). Note sure whether I'll get hook or not. Have to wait and see..

After using this phone for close to a year, here are my thoughts (the disadvantages):

-> The phone is not very slow, but it's kinda slow. For example, deleting 5 sms takes about 2 seconds. 2 seconds is not long, but i think this can be done in milliseconds. I guess part of the slowness is due to the animations. And after deleting, a confirmation dialog box pops up, which will stay there for about 1 second - you can by-pass this annoyance by tapping somewhere else on the screen though.

The only time the phone becomes very slow is when I try to configure the alarm. Due to the slowness, when I drag my finger across the screen, some other buttons gets pressed. There was once when I was configuring my daily alarm, and I accidentally unmarked the specific day I wanted to be awaken by the alarm...I found that out the next morning, and late for work.

-> It's a buggy phone. When I first bought the phone, the calculator couldn't calculate some stuff correctly and the calendar repeated 1-time reminders for a few years. Those bugs have already been solved in the latest firmware, but some still remains:
-when I sms in landscape mode, sometimes the screen gets corrupted (probably animation problem)
-when I use the radio widget, it automatically gets switched off some time after locking the phone (happens sometimes only)
-when I schedule an appointment sometime early tomorrow morning (assuming it's night time now), the alarm doesn't ring the next morning

-> The music player is not intelligent enough: Unless you manually add songs into the playlist, all your ringtones/sms tones gets mixed up in the player...haha

-> Battery contact not good after a while: After about 9 months of usage, I sometimes found my phone automatically switched off. Later on I had to improvise by adding some padding at the back of the battery so that it is nearer to the gold pin contacts.

But if you can live with such annoyances, and want a touch screen phone badly - you can give it a try. And as 12oY stated, the LG Cookie community has just recently found a way to hack the phone to install themes.
