I'm using Petronas for quite some times, my engine lack of power.
When I shifted to Shell, my car performed better.

As long as u change ur engine oil on time, use good engine oil, then shouldn't be a problem.
I always rev my engine when it's needed. 3 yr plus dy.
Engine still perform very well.
Anyway, I stop using Honda engine oil after 50,000km.
Am using Motul fully syn oil now, it's about RM 150 only.
*
what spec of the motul oil that u're using?

any1 here using eibach spring + stock abs? any could share some reviews..?

Hi guys, I might buy a 2003 iDSL model VERY SOON from Topmark JB at around RM47k. The mileage is around 66k which I find it nice and exterior has been repainted. I noticed the scariest thing is the CVT gearbox hmm.gif

I wish to know how to check whether it's still in tiptop condition and take good care of it. If I use the proper CVT gearbox oil will it last way more than 100k?
*
i have came across the similar question in teamcity's thread http://www.myteamcity.com/viewthread.php?t...6&highlight=cvt

CVTF change is every 20,000km. make sure u use CVTF and not ATF

ur waja is auto/manual?
i like waja 4g18 manual. nice to drive, powerful & good fuel efficiency. maintenance cost is ok..
i don't favour on NHC too..

u can search in www.carlist.my & www.mudah.my
from my experience, mudah price is lower than carlist..
city vtec 08 around +-rm70K (from mudah.my)
just make sure u use CVTF (strictly not ATF), the gearbox will be alright..my idsi has reached 102k and it's fine

Thanks again for the information there~

was wondering how much difference in HP of idsi and vtec model..because idsi more save than vtec right?Any difference between them except for the power?
*
idsi is 88bhp, vtec is 110bhp. if u wan performance then go for vtec, if u wan fuel efficient then idsi
generally idsi & vtec differ in term of engine, slight different in interior, rim design (but size is the same)

my waja is auto..hehe but actually i think waja 4g18 is good enough d,just in-term of the look i more prefer honda city 08..hehe because i like to mod bodykits, just waja not really suit so didn't mod bodykit..^ ^

Any way to check if buy from car dealer? how to check if they using correct gearbox oil since 1st service and not atf ler??
*
u cn request for the service booklet of the car. if previous owner do service in SC, it shouldn't be any prob.
if they cant give u, den u can opt not to buy that car.
if they dont have the booklet but claim that the car is serviced regularly in SC, den u can check with the SC about the maintenance history

Go Pandan Indah The Store Super Market, opposite there's a workshop name SKM, with huge Advan & Yokohama signboard.
Look for Ah Song. Tell him u are intro by me (kelvinkoay).
Then he can give u good price, with engine oil, oil filter and labour charges.
oh ya,i'm from sban. i find that servicing in SC is rather expensive. so i'm sourcing for alternatives. visit kl occasionally.
recommended workshop infos will come in handy too
thanks. so u send your car for service there? do they have parts like honda fuel filter, plugs, etc.. which is required for minor & major car services?

yeah, also... my friend bought an iDSI model back in '08. hers didn't have 7-speed and paddle shift on the steering like my '06 iDSI model. i'm not sure if vtec models also have these, but i think the paddle shift thingy is something to look for too. recommend for satria89.  thumbup.gif

according to this : http://paultan.org/2007/08/27/2007-honda-c...ed-in-malaysia/
vtec model should have the steermatic function

i heard about cvt problems.. but all they say is "cvt gearbox problems".. what are the problems, really? cannot shift gear? loss of power? noise?

how do i know if my gearbox is problematic?
*
cant change gear, inconsistent rpm change..
the gearbox has been improved starting from the facelifted version which is 2005

anyone know what the price range for a used city vtec 07-08 ?

any problem of that city?
*

can check in mudah. 07 - rm60-65k. the most important thg bout this City is the CVT. not an issue if CVTF is changed regularly
