Everyone's posted very beautiful pictures. Must say that I envy what you guys are having. Cherries never fail in photoshoots despite proving difficult to pause for a still pic. Lol!

Psst...Oldfart. Close up pics taken from the lateral view of the pede's trunk will amaze you even more. Try spotting it's spiracles. Your fat 7 incher will make a good model for this purpose. wink.gif
*
I will try to take some pics- as of now either they've burrowed or they've escaped! shocking.gif laugh.gif
I think they've burrowed- unless they've managed to climb plastic! laugh.gif

ETA: Took one of my photos and blew it up- think you can see the spiracles, not super clear but it is identifiable

Hard to tell from just the pic alone. Is it a local species? if not, do you know what country it is from? Can you provide a better pic? Here is a link that can help narrow it down if it is scolopendromorpha ....

wow, i just caught a very small centipede ! what to feed them ? since they are soooooo small !
*
They'll eat earthworms, crickets, mealworms, cockroaches etc. Pre-kill the food item first and leave it where they can find it. Remove the leftovers the next day. young ones can be fed every 3-7 days. The longer in between meals the better as overfeeding can cause problems. Good luck! Take pics! biggrin.gif

wow ok.. but where to get cricket .. bcz once i buy , need buy like 30 crickets :S too many edi .. any food for him beside crickets or mealworm ?
*
I buy my crickets a hundred at a time- nice thing about centipedes, they readily take dead prey; they are not great at taking down large live ones like T's! I put my crickets for my pedes in the freezer. Just let it thaw out then you can feed to your pede. Read somewhere that decaying food items can poison your pling, so be sure to remove the uneaten remains after it is done feeding.

How long are they?
I think I'm gonna create a compost heap in one corner of my backyard- see if I can attract some local species to set up shop there! biggrin.gif

Just have to improve the quality of life so more people have more disposable income to indulge in these kinds of hobbies. tongue.gif
Once there's enough demand that people can make a living off of breeding exotics, there will be many! wink.gif

So just let the lipan bite you? shocking.gif
or you milk the venom first? how does one go about milking centipede venom?

I think dry ice is a pretty good alternative to lipan venom! tongue.gif

Nah- he's just stating his opinion. Though why he'd do it on a thread where people appreciate these animals is beyond me- it's not like he's going to get anyone to agree with him here! tongue.gif
