Hey guys! Thanks to dizzychef - just found this thread! Thought I'd drop by and say HI! I was reading up on the earlier posts- only got thru maybe half way!  ETA: I'm a noob to pedes- so looking forward to learning something from you guys! Everyone's posted very beautiful pictures. Must say that I envy what you guys are having. Cherries never fail in photoshoots despite proving difficult to pause for a still pic. Lol! Psst...Oldfart. Close up pics taken from the lateral view of the pede's trunk will amaze you even more. Try spotting it's spiracles. Your fat 7 incher will make a good model for this purpose.

I think they've burrowed- unless they've managed to climb plastic! U may wanna feed it killed crix or raw meat if u noticed her being very skinny But its best not to feed for 3-4month period until the pedeling can survive by their own Read more here, though its for scolopendra genus but i think it shld change much for rhysida genus http://www.scolopendra.be/raising.phpBtw my attempt taking spiracle picture...
