Getting Started

Xp windows life was so much easier. I had Freecorder to make my own mp3's. And another software (who's name escapes me.. mp3 suite or something) that allows me to edit mp3s to my heart's content. now i can't find either for vista. Freecorder toolbar is the only freecorder can be used for vista. but it bugs me. Can anyone recommend any good mp3 editors and recorders?

For simple editing, Audacity is very reasonable. Despite being freeware, it has a lot of functions for making the song better.

I have issues with Audacity under Vista v64 though. It randomly crashes during editing.
