QUOTE(PerfumeTrader @ Oct 15 2008, 11:37 PM) you guys talk like you guys knows every thing .....so far my chery MPV already 'makan' wish 2.0 , G livina 1.8 , innova 2.0 , naza 2.5 dont play 2 ...wait until my mech put a 4G63 T inside.......Malaysian = Branded Consciuos = Listen To Rumours = Status Conscious bla bla bla......give cherry a few more years ....those overpriced japs and korean cars or conti ....will feel the pain ...... QUOTE Under the hood of the 7-seater Chery Eastar MPV is a 2.4 liter SOHC Mitsubishi long-stroke engine producing a rather sedate 127 horsepower at 5,500rpm and 198Nm of torque at 3,000rpm. are you sure you "makan" (define makan pls ) all the mpv you mentioned above?! 2.4 litre only produce 127 horsie(stock) ? even wish 1.8 can pwn you easily... 1.8 already produce 132 horsie(stock).... plus the kerb weight for Cherry MPV = 1505kg , wish only 1300kg kerb weight , more 200kg+ man.. QUOTE(ssyy @ Oct 17 2008, 09:56 AM) i was thinking da same too... makan means potong i think.. can overtake those mpvs.. i think its not because theyre not good, they chose to drive slowly.. yeah man.... mpv meant to be people carrier... if want to race might as well drive a sedan or hatchback ... QUOTE(bear bear @ Oct 19 2008, 01:23 AM) lol my grandis fc only rm120 full +164hp with 2.4l but chery not bad.. just wonder why its so cheap only 8x,xxx then gt 2.4l mitsu engine and honda stream need 14x,xxx but with 1.8l because it's china's brand... if this is mitsu brand it would be rm140-180k already btw 1.8 wish FC is rm105 = 550km average 14km per litre 50% city & 50 % highway This post has been edited by AiRBooM: Oct 19 2008, 01:29 AM

QUOTE(surehit @ Oct 20 2008, 04:02 PM) Alo man, how in the world can a Campro 1.6 CPS beat a Mitsubishi 2.4L? Eat what? Eat wind lar Campro when compare to Chery Mitsubishi engine. Read this comment from Paul's Tan site: " now the proton is try to making a mpv which size is same or bigger than a wish wish(jdm 1.8) is using a 1.8 vvti engine which produce 136ps/17.7kgm and this car is being said underpower when the car fetch 7 adult go genting and if you notice , the gear ratio on the car is very big already , no overdrive gear.
how proton going to make his mpv to when up to genting with tat 125hp/15kgm campro cps ???? and wish is weight at 1400++kg and proton mpv is aspected to be weight at around 1400 kg also (persona is also 1250kg already ) proton have to make a really big effort for boost the torque if not must be a fuel guzzler on the list of proton car ." it's 1 of the member opinion only ... not paultan himself... plus the info he provided are wrong... wish 1.8 only produce 132PS , not 136PS .. and the weight for 1.8 wish is 1300 kg , not 1400++kg although i never tried fetching 7 adults , but the power for 1.8 is definitely sufficient for 5 adults , no problem... tested before.
