if i were to make a guess, (assuming that you have not dropped your iphone or had an impact on it prior to this), i would think that the JB app modifications could have messed up the main frame.
to eliminate this possibility, simply do a complete a restore without using the backup and set up as a new phone. |

If even after restoring the problem remains,most probably should be the hardware problem already.

@geo-milano
This might not be a hardware problem. Did u install something from Cydia (or installer) to modify the vibration pattern? This could be a corrupted SystemSoundVibrationPatterns.plist in the Celestial.framework. Try replacing the plist file with the stock ones and see how it goes. If you restored the phone but sync the old setting then that should answer the question why it still persist even after restore. Syncing with old preferences/backup will copy the old (corrupted) settings (plist files) back to the phone. Aiyaaa ... one more post. Break vows again. |

I highly doubt that it is related to hardware... Sounds like it is related to firmware..have similar problem back in my custom fw2.0.1 after installing some of the stuff from cydia. Normal restore doesn't eliminate the problem, dfu mode restore will do the job

I remember him using a cracked version of SwirlyMMS which he insensitively mentioned it quite loudly in the SwirlyMMS post.
Maybe this could be the cause. Who knows. This post has been edited by davidgary73: Sep 29 2008, 03:48 PM |

davidgary73 is right in a way that 99.9% of my first gen iphone malfunctions were caused by 3rd party apps gathered from installer or cydia.

if reallly is hardware problem then headache edi, if this is the root cause, issit can get warranty from Singtel( I brought from there last month).
Either warranty or repair , it goes last.. Now i m thinking upgrade to 2.0.1 to see how... How you guy think? or still have any possibility to let me test? Thank for opinion and help. |

Geo, last time this problem was happened to my 1st gen iphone too.. I sent to a service center in digital mall.. they told me repair cost RM200+
After that, i sent the phone to my supplier there, they helped me to restore everything then the vibration is working after that. |

KY Jelly - The product is now more widely used as a sexual lubricant. It does not react with latex condoms or silicone rubber-based sex toys. While not recommended for ingestion, it has a sweetish taste, so as to not interfere with oral sex.
OMG?! dun tell me that thing in my phone >.<" |
