BenQ New Lcd

"Kuala Lumpur, September 25- BenQ launched its latest Full HD 16:9 range of LCD monitors featuring 100% mapping to 1080p content, on Wednesday.

The new models are spread across BenQ’s E and M Series LCD displays- E2400HDand the M2200HD, also including the world’s first 21.5 inch Full E2200 HD LCD monitor. The E2400 stands at 24 inches, meanwhile the M2200HD comes in at 21.5 inches.

BenQ will cater to the visual fanatics with their new 16:9 wide screens ensuring better visuals than those brought on by traditional 16:10 displays. Images are now pushed to the screen’s limits, instead of the black bars that stretch across conventional screens.

Users can also expect HDMI and DVI-D to deliver easy connection to gaming consoles, Blu-ray players and set-top boxes. Headphone jacks, D-Sub and Senseye+photo Human Vision Technology are designed to work with both the E and M series LCDs.

Supported by 1080p HDMI interface and a 5Gbps digital transit, the HD LCD monitors provide users with connectivity to digital multimedia services such as HD DVD players and the latest gaming consoles like Xbox 360 and PS3.

The launch also saw the launch of the T2200HD 21.5 inch Full HD LCD, energy-saving E900HD and G900HD. BenQ even threw in a couple of Joybooks-the S42 and S33 laptops.

BenQ 16:9 1080p full HD LCD displays are available now and prices range from RM 689 to RM 1,500. "

RM689 is the E2200HD, so its 21.5" to specifically. Though I would expect most retailers to sell it around RM700+ or so. M2200HD on the other hand will be around RM900 however.

RM1500 is basically the M2400HD, not sure about the E2400HD itself but it should be in around the region of RM1300-1400.

Do note that the E900HD is not a full HD display, rather it is only 720p. Or more specifically, 1366x768. Doesn't have HDMI input as well as lower response times.

Well.... It should perform well.

Just take a history look on the last few 24" LCDs BenQ produced. The very first on their 24" line was the FP241W, it was back then one of the best 24" LCDs around both in price and quality. Not to mention it was also the first 24" monitor for consumers to have every input available. Although it did suffer a little when it comes to gaming, the FP241VW fixed all that up and again another superb 24" LCD.

After that consumers were complaining on the price of the FP241VW, so BenQ came up with their super-cheap(atleast at its time) G2400W for mainstream users. Again it did not dissapoint at all considering the price you are paying.

While the V2400W didn't break new boundaries as much as its predecessors did, it was also just released a few months ago and it is indeed one of the sleekest looking LCDs around. The price has dropped significantly since its launch price of RM1799 to now only RM1469, can even get below RM1450 if you bargain abit.

So since BenQ hasn't F'd up a single 24" LCD monitor release yet, I'd expect the E/M 2400HD to just be equally as good at its own rights.

Just went to check the measurements for E2200 and t2200 from the sites. Anyone can explain how come
the measurements seem kinda awkward (well to me)? hmm.gif

E2200 = 522.8x407.8x186.8 (mm)
T2200 = 386.7x516.4x211.6 (mm)

As stated on the site, the frames cause the difference in measurements? but how com the T2200 is so much difference in height?
Measurements are in height x width x dimension right?
