RM689 is the E2200HD, so its 21.5" to specifically. Though I would expect most retailers to sell it around RM700+ or so. M2200HD on the other hand will be around RM900 however.

RM1500 is basically the M2400HD, not sure about the E2400HD itself but it should be in around the region of RM1300-1400.

Do note that the E900HD is not a full HD display, rather it is only 720p. Or more specifically, 1366x768. Doesn't have HDMI input as well as lower response times.

I would really like to purchase the BenQ E2200 HD LCD monitor,
anyone here in Malaysia start selling?
*
Haven't got my hands on E2200HD yet, they aren't shipped to suppliers. Lepas Raya baru ship.

can't wait for E2400HD. but is it really RM1300-1400? i thought RM1000-1100 like Dell newly released 24incher?
*
How much the price will be is up to the retailers. My estimates and from an insider source says that its around that region of RM1300+ - RM1400 or so, of course I hope its less. The E2400HD trounces the Dell S2409W in every way, uses a more updated TN panel, has much better response times, theres audio output and theres even a set of small speakers.

So you'd expect a price premium on the E2400HD, although before anything reaches to retailers I'll refrain from saying an exact price just yet.

i hope e2400hd will perform well. wanna buy 1..hehe

Well.... It should perform well.

Just take a history look on the last few 24" LCDs BenQ produced. The very first on their 24" line was the FP241W, it was back then one of the best 24" LCDs around both in price and quality. Not to mention it was also the first 24" monitor for consumers to have every input available. Although it did suffer a little when it comes to gaming, the FP241VW fixed all that up and again another superb 24" LCD.

After that consumers were complaining on the price of the FP241VW, so BenQ came up with their super-cheap(atleast at its time) G2400W for mainstream users. Again it did not dissapoint at all considering the price you are paying.

While the V2400W didn't break new boundaries as much as its predecessors did, it was also just released a few months ago and it is indeed one of the sleekest looking LCDs around. The price has dropped significantly since its launch price of RM1799 to now only RM1469, can even get below RM1450 if you bargain abit.

So since BenQ hasn't F'd up a single 24" LCD monitor release yet, I'd expect the E/M 2400HD to just be equally as good at its own rights.

What about the E2200HD? Shi-fu Ben.. biggrin.gif
*
It goes more like, if the E/M 2400HD does well the E/M 2200HD will too. They have equally the same specs, just with a different size and bigger pixel pitch.

G900W did well, so did G2200W and G2400W followed suit too. This isn't the BenQ from 10 years ago where half their CRT lines were faulty, their break-in into the LCD market with their first 15" LCD monitor was also rather poor. Its all changed now, BenQ is one of the top LCD monitor manufacturer in the world today. Atleast they don't have to rely onto a third-party panel or need to resort to buying panels from other companies like NEC or Samsung.

i'm using G2400W and it's playing 1080p for my ps3. so whats will be the difference wit these new monitor?
*
You aren't playing on native 1080p. The native res of the G2400W is 1920x1200, althought it doesn't matter much to you either way because you have 1:1 pixel mapping and I assume you can either tolerate "black bars" or slightly stretched images.

BTW, a small update.

I went to Viewnet today, asked my friend who works there when they will have the E2400HD. Unfortunately, it isn't known yet. The official BenQ supplier has not brought in any of the E/M models. So its really hard to say when it'll be on sale on retailers. While I don't expect the stock to be as limited as the V2400W since these are mainstream products, can't say that it'll come in huge quantities either.

e2400hd has reached big computer or viewnet. just bought it yesterday. rm1170. can't seem to change the setting of sharpness, color and certain other options in the menu.
*
Menu > Picture > Sharpness

Make sure you are in standard mode, if you use any of the pre-set modes, you cannot adjust the settings of the LCD.

Do tell me how 720p content looks on the monitor though.

from the spec, looks like the E2200 series got built in speaker (2 x1W)..
lets say I want to connect the ps3/xbox360 using HDMI only, is there like an output from the lcd mionitor that can connect to other speakers?

oh, just noticed that it also have Audio In/ and Headphone jack laugh.gif
*
Theres audio out from the LCD.

Frankly speaking though.... I'm rather impressed by those puny 2x1w speakers, sure they aren't good enough for gaming, movies or music at all. But it actually isn't bad in a way, the "fake" bass it produces is rather good and theres no notice of mono sounds.

PS3 never upscales games because it lacks a scaler chip.

What upscales the game is the monitor. Which going by what you say, it means the E2400HD has another legendary scaler from BenQ again! biggrin.gif

I took a look and a few small tests yesterday in Viewnet with the E2400HD. Sadly, couldn't do much other than the usual color and geometry tests. Of course it passes them with flying colors in my eyes, wish I could have brought a PS3 to test it out with it.

Now pondering if I should hit up RM1.2k to get it yet or not....

Still waiting for the E2200HD, Viewnet is telling me its going to be on sale for RM800 only..... brows.gif

Thats their estimated price point, so I hope it is. A 22" monitor with full HD res at RM800+ is quite a steal.

M series won't be on sale in Malaysia until next year.

All we have right now is the E2400HD, the E2200HD probably end of this month or next month. But definitely this year unless something changes again.

A rather technical review of the E2200HD and E2400HD from none other than the great Anantech: http://www.anandtech.com/displays/showdoc.aspx?i=3449

Do note that in the review, the E2400HD that Anand got is a pre-release model. In Malaysia here, you don't have to worry as we are getting the latest batch, rev01.

Yes, the Dell S2409 uses HDMI 1.3.
