QUOTE(kaiserreich @ Sep 26 2008, 12:45 AM)
PETALING JAYA: The Government has deferred full access to the soon to be built high speed broadband (HSBB) network to industry players, except for Telekom Malaysia Bhd ™, by seven years to 2015.

Guess Malaysian government has decided to postpone digitial economy from taking off until 2015. Sure hope that oil money lasts long enough!

News item today:

KDDI, a telephone company in Japan that competes against the former monopoly company will be launching 1gbps (1000mbps) up/down residential internet service next week.

This is what happens when you allow competition. But in Malaysia, get ready for another decade of the same old crap.
