I have been searching condominium and I come out with results that shows unit that are either 'X Rooms' or 'X+1Rooms'

What does the +1 imply?

For my condo, its 3+1 thats mean 3 normal room and 1 small room like store.

maid room

mostly used for maid room... the room just enough for a bed only...
i dont think anyone willing to sleep there unless forced to...

by how many sqft consider +1 room ?

Means smaller room...something like maids room

Or maybe an area which can later be partitioned as a room.

normally +1 means the much more smaller room as compare to other rooms.

in sg 2+1 means 2rooms wif 1 living room

perhaps the size of a single bed !

doesn't have a specific size, I guess, just an enclosed space with a door small enough not to be categorized as "bed room", most probably as a store room or study room.

"+1" refers to a small room, normally the maid's room
