OOps, I am late to work.

While originally I did not mind much the posting of Shop Threads in the Console Couch and its sub-forums, it has come to pass that there are more Shop Topics than actual discussions.

Originally, I felt that having the threads there would serve as a good price reference for new buyers.

Some of the moderators have been discussing this and we hope to move all the shops to Garage Sales while still maintaining easy reference and easy access for those who need it.

Several ideas have been put out, but right now we are putting it you the shopkeeps and the regulars here to put forward suggestions as how we may go about this.

Not Agree with the idea to move the threads to the garage sales becoz not easy to access & check the price lorr..
Btw having the threads there would serve as a good price reference for new buyers as you have mention above...
don't move the thread away!

moving the shop threads to the garage forum would just drown it in the thousand other threads


open up a 'Shopper's Corner' within Console Couch itself and let everyone do thier selling and buying there.


My only concern is having unscrupulous sellers opening 'fake' topics within the CC forum and subforums just to market their threads, hence making the act of moving them pointless.


edit: In any case, it's about time the shop threads were controlled. Too many selling and too little discussing.

If it's moved to Garage Sales, there will actually be a new subforum for the shops & link to that section will be provided in Console Couch.


We thought of that before but then it might start a negative trend whereby every subforum requesting for one of their own sales' subforum.
When that happens, it would defeat the purpose of having garage sales in the first place.


Anyway keep the feedback coming.

Then there's no other choice.

Short of restricting the amount of sellers in CC (which would scream foul), the only way to moderate the increasing number of Shop threads from overrunning the original purpose of CC is to move them to their own subforum within Garage.

To still give the sellers fair exposure within CC, pin a "Pricelist" topic where each seller is allowed to state their own price for a specific product, but the topic is locked from any post. Further inquiries would have members visit their own Shop thread in Garage.
