You can go with another plan for unlimited access on the 3G/EDGE(correct me if im wrong guys) for a cool RM99 a monthi'm using maxis postpaid value 80.

then it would solve your problem on worrying of the charges on the internet access. Would u spend RM100++ for a limited
access to internet or RM99 for unlimited access to the internet
Before u be able to install the 3rd party applications to disable the EDGE or 3G, have you jailbreak your iphone?
