yup. If u look closer at the keys, its almost like tarantula(hopefully exactly the same feeling). Then i can have a "2nd tarantula" with better design under microsoft. laugh.gif doh.gif

Hi Guys, I'm looking for a gaming keyboard. Searching along the lines of Razer and Logitech.
The G15 looks good but feels very gimmicky....
Which do you guys think is a good purchase and has proven itself through ur experience.
*
My experience, tarantula lo. But too bad keys faded after a year of heavy usage. Typing feeling really superb. Most responsive.
But there is a new microsoft keyboard which i see have the same keys as tarantula(but dont know the feel). Maybe can try. smile.gif

In term of gaming performance(responsive), tarantula is the winner here? Tarantula has 1ms delay but I can't find any info for G15. Got any shop in LYP that sell tarantula cheaper than most sellers in LYN(same like Startec)?
*
Yes, tarantula is the most responsive keyboard. Another one is tarantula typing feeling is awesome. Thats the reasons why i bought it. And after a year of heavy usage, some of my keys faded already. sweat.gif

actually ppl are clueless when choosing g15 and tarantula. Both got it cons and pros de.
But usually a pro gamer choose tarantula because it have fast response time and excellent typing feeling.
A normal game will choose g15, because g15 have a lot micros, backlighting and LCD which make the keyboard cooler than tarantula.

yes, it doesnt feel like the 1st time. After a year using tarantula, i do not experience any awkward feeling. Imo tarantula is quite durable.

Need you guys for some confirmations of Tarantula.

1. Is it true that Tarantula won't work at BIOS/bootup?

2. Is the current version of Tarantula really using USB2.0? I saw some reviews and they kept mentioning that Tarantula is using USB1.1, but those reviews are quite dated so I wonder Razor has fixed it already.
*
Tarantula wont work at bios. Suxor. sweat.gif

2.0 and 1.1 usb really matter ka? Seem no different for me lo..

interesting. do you have facts for that?
i am not a pro gamer but tarantula has lots of problems reported that's why i chose the G15 the first place. lol...
and you dont really need response time for keyboards as it does nothing really. and laptop style slim keyboard is not really for hardcore springy feel keyboard gamers if you know what i mean.  laugh.gif

read for fun
*
I have the facts before posting something dude. Cons of tarantula, keys will fade, doesnt work on bios.

Its funny to hear u said that response time for keyboards does nothing. Try steelseries 7g, u will feel it have much faster response than g15.
And who the pro gamer use a g15? normal gamer does. But im not a pro gamer as well. Just personal preference.

just able to try out g15 v2 today. And what i can say about the keyboard is, it isnt suitable for fps gamer. I have to press A S D W and shift real hard to make it register. But the keyboard looks is nice. Just the performance isnt that great.

Razer would be the brand I'd say go for it, for gaming.

I'm currently using Razer Tarantula and might change for the new one releasing soon.

So, the popular question, Tarantula or Lycosa????

Tarantula will fade. U take risk laugh.gif

do you guys really think i should earn a gaming keyboard even though im not playing to compete?

i mean...i am a hardcore gamer but i dun play game with network example. playing with other peoples or competition.

is it worth it?for rm300 we talking about and that value for me is very expensive
*
Better dont spend rm300 for "gaming keyboard". Just get a normal keyboard that comfortable for u will be enough. Spend money on headset/gaming mouse is much much better.

why the SS 7G more expensive than logitech G15 , and razer keyboard ??
*
Because 7g build quality is better than g15. Typing feel also better. Razer keyboard? expensive and last for while.

but 7g din hav any backlight like G15 and more expensive

yeah. 7g lack features. But a lot of gamers doesnt need backlight. And 7g suit fps gamers. If come to game that uses a lot of micros, then this one not suitable lo.

But different person got different opinions la.

yeah 7G so expensive....
cant afford it
and its ugly!
*
So that is why every company trying to make a good looking keyboard to attract customers except steelseries. Steelseries doesnt depend on look. It is all about performance. That is why 7g is more expensive.

7G is too costly IMO, for that price you can almost get a new GPU for your rig already.... tongue.gif
*
Yeah, but it worth if u are really into gaming. And agree not everyone can afford this keyboard. Good stuff does not come cheap isnt?

the g15 LCD makes me thing of getting a g15 or x6 now... X6 i love the brightness of the keyboard, the edges of the key have light makes it damn good to look at when lights off. Summore lots of positive reviews, G15 lcd no doubt very useful la.. but dont like the design..
*
x6, the keys feel nice. I pretty like it. But the delete key, wtfwth so small. And when light is off, the backlight really awesome. Very clear and wow. The software is quite friendly user also. Easy to set the macro.
