Will Iphone3g even though its not unlocked?

Hi I`am a major newbie to this whole iphone 3g thing. I read the guide for newbies and I could not find anything that answered my query.
Anyway I may get one eventually and I was thinking that what if I do get it and I bring it back to Malaysia and if its locked will I still be able to use its other functions like wi-fi,watching videos, listening to music etc,google etc? Thanks. |

If U intend to get the iPhone 3G and use all other functions but the phone functions, might as well save urself the trouble and get an iPod Touch instead. U'll be able to even get the 32GB one and the price is even lower! |

Well, there's always those sim-hack method to unlock it, but, some problems will arise, even the iphone hacker teams don't recommended it, but its useful while waiting for the software unlock method

Get an iPod Touch if you just want to exprience the multimedia side ..
