QUOTE(jovyn @ Sep 29 2008, 10:13 PM) i jus sand bath with my hamster... erm, i think they dunno how to roll them self... so i use small spoon, scope n pour d sand on their body...is ok right? (kena thier eye n ear abit, coz they wanted to escape ) btw, do u guys put the toilet sand and bathing sand inside the cage or seperately? careful about their eyes, cos the eyes are very sensitive.. when kena the bath sand their eyes will be reddish & watery.. try pour on them when they're not moving so much (eg. when they stop to groom themselves)..

QUOTE(evilmashi @ Oct 4 2008, 12:20 PM) so let say if i breed it with a agouti robo, will the white face of the white-faced still remain in their pups ? cuz i really like the white-faced yes they can be bred together, but if i'm not mistaken the offsprings wont have as nice color as the white faced.. and the agouti robo pups color will also be diluted.. not too sure about this tho, y not u try?

QUOTE(ann3 @ Oct 9 2008, 11:07 PM) thanks andy for the prompt reponse..now i will try m best to take care them... ...now the stuart and mischka is sleeping...they're angry at me because didn't put enough kuaci..i was trying to teach them to finish everything so they do not waste their foods..instead they think i don't love them...stuart bit me during the whole time i was trying to take his pictures...sigh sigh.. so right now..i need to separate them right?...since i have no intention to breed them...what is their maturity age?size? is there anything else that i need to know on how to take proper care for winter white? care not to give too much kuaci though.. 4-6 kuaci a day is enough.. hamsters usually eat their fav foods first, so u can just leave the food as it is until they finished eating.. stuart bit u most probably cos he's not tamed yet & not used to u.. give him time, play with him often, and he'll like u better if can, give him some treats (not too much) during play time, then they'll enjoy the times u take them out to play..

QUOTE(ballista10 @ Oct 12 2008, 03:21 PM) im not asking whether is it normal if the food is not finished... im asking how much does normally hamster like robo eat vege like broccoli.. robos generally eat less i think.. u see how much ur robo eats the vege, then give that amount everytime, so that wont waste the vege.. coz the hamster still has other food to eat (like staple food, smoothie) so u dont have to give too much of a type.. give more variety of food in small amounts.. robos on average roughly eat 1 tablespoon of food per day, so u just estimate how much of each type of food to give.. dont forget other nutrients as well like protein etc..

QUOTE(The Flying Penguin @ Oct 18 2008, 11:28 PM) Just inquiring, I'm well aware that WW's like it if they are best kept alone. I wonder, would it still be alright if I get 2 female WW's from the same pet store? Not quite sure in getting just one, but I'm willing hear out from you guys (:
Thanks in advance! i wouldnt recommend u do that.. but if u want, u gotta get a big enclosure with lots of hiding space.. 2ft tank wouldnt even be enough if one day they decided to fight.. so, it depends if u want to take the risk or not.. even tho they're from the same petshop, but they wont necessarily bond with each other very well cos there're lots of hamsters in the petshop.. it's different if they're sisters who have been together since birth.. but, still it's hard to say..

QUOTE(imperialrealcs @ Oct 19 2008, 02:20 PM) bump for my self.. please, important i wonder y is it so urgent to know.. gestation period for pregnancy is 3 weeks, not 2 weeks.. pls do ur research.. Added on October 19, 2008, 5:04 pmQUOTE(XiaoDan @ Oct 19 2008, 02:21 PM) That might be a sign for diabetes. Please cut down ur hammie's fruits intake. Don't feed too much sweet fruits. Feed more fresh veggies. Added on October 19, 2008, 2:25 pmCheese can be fed to hamsters in a very very small amount and only as treats. Cheese contains salt. Feed not more than twice a week. But it's still better not to feed them. Don't crush their staple food and mix together with the vege supplement, just sprinkle some vege powder on their staple food. i also suspect it's diabetes.. if female, highly likely it's pregnant.. but this is a male.. any other symptoms? QUOTE(Sophiera @ Oct 20 2008, 10:17 PM) So basically once I know the weight i'll divide by the price and see how. 20 bucks la, but the other 20 bucks also. Unfortunately not the same measurement so donno apa beza i think it's better to use litres to compare, instead of weight.. cos some bedding are heavy but small in volume (like WoodyPet).. but corn cob will turn moldy when it touches water, so it's more suitable for hamsters that are toilet-trained, IMHO.. or if u're diligent enough to throw away the wet corn cob every now & then..

if want to give together with the yolk, make scrambled egg instead.. my hamsters prefer scrambled eggs to egg whites..
