I bought a big pack of Delikate food , it includes sunflower seed inside and Muffin is only eating sunflower seed , I will wait him finish all other food before adding in more food. 

I'll try to check on him now , after that gotta hit my sack already.

jamien, what do u mean by doggy chew toys? is it those bone shaped thingy thats really hard? can i give that to my hamsters?

it clumps because of some chemicals which react with water and make it clump. so might be poisonous if they eat it.

Icednyior, I'm hoping it works but getting a chew toy for your hamster may not get rid of the incessant chewing it's doing. Like I say, Roche chews but Ferro doesn't. So I usually switch their chew toys every week to make them curious. It's funny when they look at something that's the same but doesn't feel the same.

I think clumping litter, if eaten by a hamster, may start clumping in the stomach and cause impaction or something.

Jamien, someone sold me clumping litter sand as bath sand. It took me months to realise that because I have never owned cats before.

And Jovyn...I won't recommend anything with cotton for hamster as the fibers might get tangled around their feet or get tangled inside their intestines.

hello all hammy pros..my hammy (male winter white) i think having some health problem..his stomach which is between his rear legs is growing..im not sure what happen to him but it is getting bigger..now the size of a big marble@guli..im not sure whats in there but he hardly walk or climb now..any particular health prob?what should i do?

Anyone have any success experience to share in hand feeding few days old baby hamsters?

This morning I found out that a stray rat came inside my house, attacked all my hamsters (Robo & WW) in aquariums.  20 hamsters  dead bitten by the rat.  Now left the babies without their mothers. Left only 3 male adult  hamsters survived from that attack.  Poor thing...now I use syringe to hand feed them.  Not sure they could survive or not.

jovyn, 20-25g for roborovskis is a good weight. Slightly heavier or lighter is fine also.

Cannot remember the brand but it comes  in three sizes, 1kg, 3 kg and 5 kg approx.

Problem with corn cob is that it's taking forever to break down in my compost, but if it's very much cheaper then I have to live with it.

As for gnawing you can try a mineral stone, rawhide bone, applewood sticks, or a wheat-geletine block. If want to supply dog kibbles please don't get super chapalang brand because donno what they put inside.

Besides people give kibbles mostly for protein. They usually have a saperate chewtoy.

just now visited Pet Safari at Ikano Power Centre. Saw a lot of those green food on the Syrian hamster tank...
