The wheel should be at least 8" for syrians. IcedNyior have showed you a pic of how to put the bottle through a hole drilled via the side.

I think clumping cat litter will clumped into a hard ball like thing whereas non-clumping cat litter will lump together to a mud like thing... hmm.gif hmm.gif hmm.gif

What most of us do here is drill a hole on the side of the tank and attach the bottle water to a suction cup and stick it outside.

Thanks for the info, was wondering about a better solution than making a hole on the side of the tank. Thinking of using wires to hang the bottle in the tank, either that or just use a suction cup to put the bottle inside the tank instead of outside. Whichever way that works in this case. smile.gif

I use the suction cup inside the tank. The only thing to worry is they will bite the cable tie and the bottle fell off, and some intelligent one will climb up through the bottle. Make sure you close the lid well. So far my WW nvr bites the cable tie.

It's kinda like dry mud like thing when I clean their toilet. If it is still fresh can see that all pee makes the non-clumping cat litter sticker together but not to a hard ball like thing. Very hard to explain laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Yes as long as they don't curve their back while running the wheel is good enough. But for me the safest bet is the 8" and above wheel as most of my syrian are over 100grams big. The biggest is about 160grams and the 8" wheel is just nice for her biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif Currently using Wodent Wheel JR and Sanko 21cm silent wheel.

You can try to put his/her pee and poo into his/her toilet. You can also put the toilet near to his/her favorite spot for pee/poo.

I think Mochie got frighten when you want to handle him/her. You can try calling his/her name first before touching him/her. Some syrians will take awhile before they get used to you. Have some patience.

Try this next time he tries to bite you. Give him/her treat to make him/her busy with the treats instead of biting you.

You should use mild detergent and wash off all the smells and germs of the hamster cage that your ex hamster used to stay.

Should wash the whole tank first before placing the hammy into her new home. Not wipe.

Hello all again...

I have 2 WW male around 2months old. They fight with each other so I have already separate them for sometime. Nowadays, when i try to put the 2 cage closely...they both will stay near the fence and stare at each others for like 1 hour or more. Do hamster talk to each other?

Last time when at first I see them stare at each other for such a long time, I thought they wanted to play together. So, I try to re-intro them and end up both fighting again. Stick together roll here and there. When I try to stop them...one of them bite me sad.gif

Their coat change due to the amount of light they are exposed to.

Tear/cut off the mealies' head and let the hamster smell/taste the mealies juices.

Not sure Hazel is a he or a she as you refer him/her as it sweat.gif  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

Hazel looks very young. Looks like less than 2 weeks old. Did you ask the pet shop how old is it?

Sounds like bladder/kidney stone. Give it some pure cranberries juice (with no sugar added) to easily pass the stone of out it's system.

Just add a few drops into it's water bottle but it might get the full dosage required.

If you are feeding it smoothie, then you put cranberry juice into that as it can finish the smoothie in a day.
It's a HE. laugh.gif I was told that he was born on 1st Nov, so should be 1 month plus.. Thanks for your advice!
