doh.gif the reason why I thought there should be a diet thread to discuss.
Read lah, please...and yes they can but limit on red bean as beans can cause bloat. hamsters cannot kentut or burp.

So nothing to seriously discuss about hamsters ka? Like how much vitamin they need, what is the preferred mix...veges and all the more interlectual stuff sad.gif

Not only oranges have vitamin C you know laugh.gif Papaya also got a lot of vitamin C.

Oh, one more thing... NO GARLIC NO GINGER.

What is your dried food brand? Usually they're complete on its own unless cheapo brand. Fresh food is great for boosting and some variety in your ham's life.

Nope, as it contains lots of Kuachi and corn. Recommended brands are Harry Hamster and Prestige. I'm using Harry Hamster, Aloe loves the groundnuts inside them.  smile.gif

sori...i ask here coz i know alot of ppl here get their supplies from petshack n i couldnt find any directions in uncle taro's thread sweat.gif

QUOTE(RyoKenzaki @ Sep 30 2008, 12:04 PM)
Well hello there new member
Lolz, i think its ok la
After all direction to petshack is informative as petshack gt good hamster supply
Anw Take the LRT until Kelana Jaya.
From there you can take a taxi downstairs.
Tell them Sunway Mentari.
Ask them stop at McDonald.
Then it's just a very short walk to pet shack.

or, you could just take the LRT bus to Sunway Pyramid then walk from there. You need to walk (using the overhead bridge of course) to the other side of the road. Then walk towards the McDonalds there. Pet Shack is somewhere in the centre of that area. Look out for the street road...its quite a bit of walking distance to be honest. I'm also not too sure if LRT buses still go to Sunway Pyramid.

thanx for the info.~ wub.gif

Word of advice, dont take the taxi rite under the LRT station. Take the one across the road, should be cheaper. Or just take the bus.
Zoo Zone is a bit pricy imo. a tank would be cheaper smile.gif
i usually give fresh bedding
*
so alex bathing sand consider as non-clumping??

I think put back a little old bedding is just for the hamster to recognise their tank-mate if the tank got more then one hammy. If the hammy own the entire tank, just use all new one lor..
*
i got 2 robo and i change the entire bedding+clean the cage and also give then sand bath all in the same day

is tat ok in the long run?

For me, I'll go for ZooZone as it is better for the hamster and it's cheaper than the Ovo loaf. Then save the money to get a good wheel and it is a NEED for hamsters.
Don't think you can get that in Ipoh as I never see any there when we do pet shops hunting. Do not think I'll be going back to Ipoh in this month.
ZooZone no more in production already, you gotta wait for the new designs maybe, for the time being, save your money first lor.
It's not about clumping or non-clumping. It's totally 2 different thing la. Toilet sand/liter sand is for them to pee and poo inside, bathing sand / ALEX bath sand is for them to clean and remove excess oil from their fur. How can 2 different thing come to be the same conclusion? Doesn't matter for the bathing sand whether it's clumping or non clumping. Please make your mind clear about the product before make yourself worried.

hahahah, i guess i'm just getting paranoid sweat.gif

Yeap, we have 6 2ft tanks and 1 ZooZone2 at home now. My hall is full with tanks. rclxub.gif
I'm not sure whether Pos Malaysia accept such a big item for courier or not. There's still pet shop which have stock with ZooZone1 and ZooZone2 but just like I said, it's very troublesome to get it courier, maybe Andy can send to you in Ipoh? icon_idea.gif  icon_idea.gif  icon_idea.gif The other option is to get the 2ft tank as you'll find it is good for the hamster and easy to clean and for me, it's not that bad looking if you can maintain it's cleanliness and do some deco on the tank. icon_idea.gif
Yes, Pet SHack have frisian for sale. Sand must be look like sand la...what else?  sweat.gif

i mean the packaging~ XD
