Can't differentiate when they are still pup as they will not have hair or fur yet. Only can see whether they are short haired or long haired when they are about 2-3 weeks old. Males will have longer haired compare to females.

I think you don't know what is Syrians and their coat well yet. All the syrians are normal syrians unless they are deformed. Satin coat syrians is rare and difficult to find in Malaysia, that's why so many people are interested with it. Almost majority of our syrians here is long haired syrians. We can get long haired syrians easily rather than short haired syrians in those pet shops. I think their gene for long haired and short haired is 50-50 depends of the dominant gene the both breeding pairs have. Some are super long haired where some are just long haired and some even have long haired around their butt like skirt.

hi all, i'm new here.. well not so new cos i've been following up the thread since V8 but i nvr post here b4..

today i went to Sunway PLC.. to my surprise, i found a white face robo.. it's a male.. he has more white fur than brown on his body.. i find him rather unique.. so i brought him back along with one of his tankmate, also a male..
took some pics, and would like to share here..

there's one chinese guy there (one of the workers) told me that robos can live up to 15 yrs.. he told me he had experience breeding all sorts of hamsters, and he's sure that robos can live up to 15 yrs..    i told him robos only live up to 4 yrs, and he was like ''nono, u're not lucky enough to see robos live up to 15 yrs''     
white face robo very rare right? how many of u here owns one?

wouldn't hv digestion problem. just feed them. but its a dise dish not main diet ya.

You mean those peas, carrot and corn? Those are not fresh and frozen.

Better buy those salad pack. Just go to tesco or giant to look for them. If you want to save, you can look for the discount item in vegetable corner for those going to expire salad pack but look for the pack that looks more fresh.
