Just inquiring, I'm well aware that WW's like it if they are best kept alone.
I wonder, would it still be alright if I get 2 female WW's from the same pet store?
Not quite sure in getting just one, but I'm willing hear out from you guys (:

Thanks in advance!

If I'm not wrong someone said before that WW would suddenly fight even if there is no reason to. So I'd say, sure you could keep two of them together just be ready to separate them when they show signs of fighting.

i wouldnt recommend u do that.. but if u want, u gotta get a big enclosure with lots of hiding space.. 2ft tank wouldnt even be enough if one day they decided to fight.. so, it depends if u want to take the risk or not..

even tho they're from the same petshop, but they wont necessarily bond with each other very well cos there're lots of hamsters in the petshop.. it's different if they're sisters who have been together since birth.. but, still it's hard to say..

Hihi, I'm new here. I was follow this tread from V7 until now.. I just started to breed a male Winter White a month ago and give he to eat Prestige Hamster Nature mix with 1/4 Britter Bunny which i bought 3 ago from petshack. I found out that my WW are very choosy. It seems don't like to eat Prestige Hamster Nature with 1/4 Britter Bunny except the sunflower seeds. At first I tought that he was sick, so i bought and gave him to eat Survior Power with Nutri-Paste.

Any advice? I was quite worry that he are not eating and a waste =(.

Thanks in the advance. =)

Some advice from u
1. Separate them in different cage
- Syrian are knw to be solitary hamster, putting them 2gether can result in either fight till death or stress till death

2. Stop feeding them the green ball
- They are nt food for hammy, VERY UNHEALTHY!

Btw, 1st pic so cute, both looks blur lol

That might be a sign for diabetes. Please cut down ur hammie's fruits intake. Don't feed too much sweet fruits. Feed more fresh veggies.

can we feed cheese to hamster?

and bump my question:
want to ask about nezu's vege supplement powder.. can i crunch the britter bunny and prestige hamster nature to dust so that it can mold together with the supplement powder when we make the vege powder ball? will the nutrient be the same?
*
Cheese can be fed to hamsters in a very very small amount and only as treats. Cheese contains salt. Feed not more than twice a week. But it's still better not to feed them. Don't crush their staple food and mix together with the vege supplement, just sprinkle some vege powder on their staple food.

Well, it's up to you. I'm juz following Nezu's instructions on how to feed them :

How to feed:
1) Sprinkle over their food.
2) Add water to the Vegetarian Formula and roll into lumps/balls

If you wanna try out new things, of coz you can smile.gif

i also suspect it's diabetes.. if female, highly likely it's pregnant.. but this is a male.. any other symptoms?
