Hi, personally, I like to write poems to express my feelings, both in Mandarin and English.
Long after leaving secondary school, I became less active in writing poems.
Recently, have the urgent to revive this little hobby of mine when I was cleaning my room, and found some poems I wrote for school magazine last time. But, so long after not writing, I tend to forget the forms of poem I was once familiar with. Therefore, I started off by modifying poems written by others, just using them as skeletons, as to refresh my memory.
All are welcomed here to share your own poems. All poetic forms and genres in every languages are welcomed.
Nowadays, free verse is more common, but I genuinely respect those who can write in strict meter or rhyme, for one myself, am not a master in poetry.

The Road Not Taken 2.0
A beauty I met in a small cafe,
And pardon if she is not well described,
Though as one stranger, long I stared,
And as long as fair others I ignored,
Drawn to where her inner beauty lies within;
Then took the food, as slow as I could,
And perhaps a longer coffee break,
Being the only moments as it would,
Divine intervention and reality,
Had become really about insanely same;
And that evening she softly touched,
In both my mind and heart forever stayed,
Oh, I longed the evening for another day,
Yet knowing how sunk it has became,
I doubted if I could ever meet her again.
I shall be telling this with a sigh,
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two souls never mended in a small cafe, and I—
I chose to let it passed,
And that has made all the difference in destiny.
