Currently my highest stable OC is 4180MHz, my specs are
E8500 (440x9.5) using Cooler Master Hyper 212 Asus P5Q Pro 2x2gb Kingson 800Mhz value ram
I set the vcore at 1.3625v at the bios, 2.0v for the ram and 1.3v for the nb, those are the only voltages I change.
Now I'm trying to achieve better OC, I bought new rams, Corsair dominator 2x2gb 1066MHz
I'm typing this post with my cpu clocked at 4.275 with 1.4v set in bios, I don dare to go any higher than that, but the OC is unstable I ran intel burn test and the residual (norm) don't match, havent really tried anyting else.
Any way to help me achieve better oc? Is it safe to set a higher vcore? since intel lists the voltage range at 1.3625v max.

QUOTE(@meno @ Sep 21 2008, 01:38 AM) What are the current temperature readings of your proc on full load? Full load temps are around 70, except intel burn test which it will reach 96 and then the thermal throttling kicks in QUOTE(zer0hour @ Sep 21 2008, 02:20 AM) What stepping is your E8500? E0 or C0? C0

Don't think I'll run it at 1.5v, I'm scared already at about 1.4v+ still can't get stable oc at 4300mhz, buying a better cooler and will try again once i receive it.
