Even can fit another HDD inside , I couldn't find the HDD tray for 1720.  sad.gif

you can refer the online manual: http://supportapj.dell.com/support/edocs/s...d.htm#wp1180014
there is empty tray beside the primary hdd. beside purchase second hdd, you might need additional screws and hdd interconnector.

The tray I'm mentioning is the Caddy.

Have a look.

ok, thx for sharing. then now we know that if we need to install second hdd:
we need to purchase the parts from dell:

1. second hdd's Carrier (Caddys)
2. hard disk interconnector
3. screws

i found my fan on the bottom seem nt working at all.

when open some application i feel the heat very hot.

doesn't it mean hardware failure? wat should i do?

if suspect fan not working....
then you can boot from the driver cd then run test on fan to check....

so unless I get the entire motherboard changed.. there wouldnt be any opportunities?
*
Deznom, no way fren.
inspiron 1525 only 1 type motherboard.
not like inspiron 1420 and 1520, there models come with 2 different type of motherboard.

not sure about it. why i cant use pendrive to boot up and install windows? i use microsoft software to cr8 boot up but in bios after pressing f12 there is no option for usb pendrive although i alrdy enable usb boot from bios there.
*
for dell notebook. not all pendrive are compatible for bootable usage. I'm not sure which brand/model compatible but dell key(currently not selling) sure able to boot.
