Better spending more money to be safe than sorry?

Also, can anyone recommend some nice travel agencies who are experienced in arranging such visa?

Although the website hasnt reveal anything about the open date, so might wanna email them and ask them whether if it still open

it's been open a looooong time already. if i'm not mistaken, its launched in Feb this year. i applied for it and got it. pretty simple and straight forward. if you're living in KL area, then apply by yourself, its not that difficult or complicated.
reason why i said if you live in KL region is cos you need to go to the High Comm a few times, and if you're from outstation it might be time consuming. plus, you also need a letter of good conduct. not sure of the other places you can get em, i got mine from Putrajaya

I’ve been dreaming to werken in australie ever since. I really love the ambiance of the place and living there would be great. Do you think it’s a good idea if I settle in a foreign land after I find a job there?

Well...you will never know until you try.

So many people would love to take up the opportunity. If you have it, why not give it a go. Try it, if you don like it, you can always come back and proudly tell people you have worked and travel Australia.

Once you have hit over 31 (if not mistaken) it is then very difficult to go and work there unless your company sponsors you.

Good luck!

australia whv is not as welcomed as uk & nz, not easy to find travel partner, strict requirements! anyone interested to travel together?

keen to find out more, for those who has granted this visa can you please share more? eg: how long it takes for the application to approve? any interview needed? need to go embassy many times? how much we can get paid/hrs?

thanks!

curious, how old are you? you'll need some sort of confirmation that you have at least done a few years of studies conducted in English. so you may not be eligible. go to the aussie high comm to check.

also, if anyone has any really detailed questions, best way to go is thru the Australian High Commission. really friendly staff.

well, info is readily available in the embassy itself. yes, you do need to have 5k AUD to apply for the visa. just to make sure you've got money to spend whilst in Aussie. just pop by, ask them when the next batch re-opens and ask them as well what you need. its really really easy.

min loh. they want to see that you have that amount of money which you can access. 5k in today's currency would be about +- rm15K. just get a bank statement and you're good.

I am planning to stay in Australia up to a year, just as a tourist. How would I apply visa for that? I heard they give 1 year multiple entry visa, stayable up to 3 months, then gotta exit country and come in again and can stay for 3 months again. Can a travel agent help me get that visa?

i think if ure going there just as a tourist, theres ETA visa (yes the 3months visa) and u can just apply/get it at any travel agency for less than rm50. smile.gif just bring ur tickets info/passport. and u can get it done by the day itself

you cant work in australia with tourist visa...and it's illegal...

in order to work in australia, you need a valid visa.. no matter whats the duration (even 1 month).. your only option is working holiday visa, PR or a work permit...which you must applied (and granted) before landing in Australia..

check on their immigration website. Malaysia and Australia have a working holiday scheme but you have to meet the requirements . I din take the working holiday visa but a student visa. 3 years I spent my life there and definitely worth it.

I think there is a requirement of at least having a 5k Aud in your bank account before you can apply for the holiday/work visa. It will be around Rm 16k.

So yeah guess that's one of the major setbacks for younger teens applying for it.

SO actually do we have to be at least degree graduate to apply for this? Because in the website it says Diploma graduate can apply. then below it says diploma level is not qualified.
So anyone knows about this and can clarify here?

Cheers.
