which one d best?

Rounder body as in the back smaller or bigger?

Correction, it was a Yamaha FG-402. Not sure whether it was her first guitar or not though.

Given that, F-310 was introduced in 1999 (In US), but the FG-402 has been around since 1970s (oldest one I know of is in 1975).

Then you'd look at the palm tree inlay on the headstock.
The one on the F-310 is smaller, and it doesn't extend till the machine heads, where else it does on the FG-402.

I don't know whether it's confirmed, but my observation tells me very much it's a FG-402.
