Hi GPS gurus,

I never had a GPS function PDA/HP before but am thinking of buying one in a few days.

As I will be doing some long range offshore work, I doubt i can use my service providers AGPS function being in the middle of no where in the ocean..

Still i'd like to simply mark some the Longitude and lattitude positions in the open oceans at the places Im stopping.

So just wanna ask your opinions if the current SE phones are recommended with regards to GPS function over Nokia model. The model I had in mind  to buy is the SE Vivaz.

If not,kindly recommend me a good Nokia model.

How to I turn off Vivaz AGPS function and rely on the free to use GPS only?

I read the earlier phones GPS can take up to minutes to get a fix, I hope the newer model in the market performance may be improved.

It safe to on our phone and use gps device in moving plane? Not scare it will interrupt plane electronic device or other?

Can i use my 5800 as GPS bluetooth device and connect with my laptop? If can, i can get larger view from my lappie than 5800 Any idea?

If I update my current garming mobile xt map with this map from malsing will it remove the international map as well?

Garmin works well on N8! Headache to get it working but now it works! 

By the way, what is the best maps available (especially for Sabah / Sarawak)?

Some said malsingmap is better. I honestly don't know which. 

just got my Nokia C7 few days ago.

i am trying to use my ovi map gps but it is always telling me connection error, access denied and can't find my position.

must i connect to the internet to use it?

how to check?
