QUOTE(NewbieHero @ Feb 9 2010, 10:47 PM) hi, i have recently purchased a nokia n95 8gb for the gps function it provides. before start routing, stand under clear sky for 10-20 minutes and see. worse case scenario stand 1/2 hour. i followed every step in the internet very carefully and has the garmin XT thing installed succesfully. however when i tried to use it, it just shows a message saying 'Awaiting better GPS accuracy'. i reach my destination oso the message is still there, no results at all. anyone has the same problem with me? cant seem to figure out the matter out le T_T if kenot then buy original. |

camera is accurate. speed trap isnt.
cams are attached to traffic lights. speed trap locations vary and shifts. |

QUOTE(J-Slade @ Feb 24 2010, 10:18 AM) Guys, I got one question about Garmin Nuvi but I'm not sure if this is the thread to ask cos I can't find any dedicated subforum for GPS. now garmin nuvi got quad coresAnyway I was wondering, is it that all the Garmin Nuvi 2x5 have the same 333Mhz processor? Like for example 205W vs 255w... do they share the same processor speed? Because I refer one website here: http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-205W-4-3-Inch...r/dp/B0015F1L7A At the btm of the page it says: The reason why I am asking this is because it seems that Garmin is very hush hush about the processor speed of their Garmin Nuvi but I can notice a difference in the screen refresh rate between 205W and 255W.. not sure what is the reason is it the map I am using or the hardware or the firmware. Thanks for your time! |

garmin mobile is not free.
i strongly suggest you buy the original. that way u can get some form of after sales service. if you can afford a nice phone i'm sure you would be able to afford an original navigating software. |

QUOTE(serpent1990 @ Feb 28 2010, 10:53 PM) lol...nice point u got also...but people also will not willing to pay more for a thing that can get for free also ma...^^Y unfortunately we cant set the price. we often have to end up paying for their promotional marketing and etc etc. most of the time its just paying thru our blood and sweat so they can earn supernormal profits. but lucky there are alternatives. if 1 gps software is deemed too expensive like garmin's USD 99 mobile xt software, we have others like mapking which can be bought for only RM 19.90. or papago for symbian, or even other navigational softwares like waze and trekbuddy. i'm not a fan of garmin mobile xt but unfortunately they do have the widest coverage of world country maps. nokia's own nav and maps are just too rubbish. what i have on my n82 is a nice original mapking which i purchased for RM19.90 from m3asia + updated with malsingmaps. i will use gmxt when i feel like paying for it which is ....not anytime soon. to newbiehero, if you cant afford it, just dont use it. alternatives are out there. what is RM 19.90 for an original software when you can afford a phone that's already > RM 200 ? |
