thanks for the reply, i've downloaded City Navigator Europe NT 2009 for my Garmin Mobile XT and manage to merge together with my MFM.

Unfortunately, can anyone tell me the problem about the City Navigator Europe NT 2009 maps? because when i search within France, i can only see major highways and not street names or POIs.
What did i just downloaded?!!

u only viewing basemap.

stimix is previously the golden boy of msm/mfm with his golden track logs.

that was until he got hold of a 5800xm. so a reminder to all of u saying your 5800xm is the best nokia phone, especially got gps, no its not. it sux ......period !
your 5800xm is pathetic. if you want a real gps, get a standalone device or a pda. PDA's > all nokias for gps.

does anyone know best config for garmin mobile xt? ie the evading settngs etc so when we browse, we get exact destination based on distance/time to arrive?
*
tick only unpaved roads.

your time to arrival is quite accurate. it changes over time, but otherwise its quite good.

no your friend speaks rubbish.
sattelite searches depend on hardware not software.

most mobile phones run on cheap qualcomm chips. want a fast and accurate chip ? get something on sirf3 or sirf4 which i doubt they have on mobile phones.

*note i say mobile phones, not PDA's.

if time difference is more than 10 minutes its better to take back 5890 for warranty.

try this, both get a sat fix in say, same area.
then go travel 20-30km away and both on at the same time. the further the distance the better.

both of u go to empty big padang got no high rise.

then both of u switch on and aquire sattelite signal.

once acquired both of u switch off.

begin driving 20-30km away, the further the better.

after u arrive at whatever other big padang or another kosong plot of land,

both of u get down from car.

both switch on same time.

if time difference is more than 10 minit, send back warranty.
