Damn this is confusing...

malsingmaps and malfreemaps are originally from the same people and only around last year they decided to seperate because

a) malsingmaps wants to only provide the latest maps to contributors
b) malfreemaps wants to provide the latest maps to everyone even if you'e not a contributor

Is this correct?

yet strangely because of this move, there are a more contributors for malfreemaps? doh.gif

btw a lot of ppl wondering how can they contribute the POI for malsingmaps if the map they give is the old one.. the answer is that actually there is an updated map that can be viewed only on the PC that is locked. So you need an app to view the latest map there and contribute..

Guys, I got one question about Garmin Nuvi but I'm not sure if this is the thread to ask cos I can't find any dedicated subforum for GPS.

Anyway I was wondering, is it that all the Garmin Nuvi 2x5 have the same 333Mhz processor? Like for example 205W vs 255w... do they share the same processor speed?

Because I refer one website here:
http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-205W-4-3-Inch...r/dp/B0015F1L7A

At the btm of the page it says:

QUOTE

The reason why I am asking this is because it seems that Garmin is very hush hush about the processor speed of their Garmin Nuvi but I can notice a difference in the screen refresh rate between 205W and 255W.. not sure what is the reason is it the map I am using or the hardware or the firmware.

Thanks for your time!
