i am looking to replace head unit in my wira. interested in single cd player with mp3 etc. also bluetooth function for handsfree handphone.

- is the bluetooth fuction good on these type of units (ie do their handsfree functions work in real world conditions)
- can i get one for around rm500, or will i have to spend much more?
- which model do u recommend?

rm500 i dun think can get any with bluetooth function.. to get a blurtooth function normally rm 700 like tat then got.. need buy optinal device to activate the bt function as well..

If Brother's or china brand then can get it at 500 or lower.. if branded one definitely above 700..

yea, pioneer got some bluetooth model, but dunno how much...

thanks all. looks like i need to adjust budget quite a bit. i dont trust cheaper brands coz had bad experience before of cd always skipping.

re DEH7050, i couldnt find it on poineer malaysiia website. also did a search in this forum and someone commented that it wasnt available in malaysia. will keep an eye out for it. thanks again.

my friend just bought a sony HU with BT and plays mp3 too. Its approx RM300+ bought from sony center, they were having promo at that time... but it doesnt hurt to go have a look. The only cons in the HU is that, it doesnt have a pre-out.

be carefull while finding HU that supports BT, lots of them has "support" for it, but requires additional hardwares/components which is sold separately.

Very easy to spot it, if the HU meantion BT ready means it could be require owner to buy the BT module. If it mention built-in then is ready to be use.

Usually those HU that provides BT built in loses some of its feature.

Like given comparison between P6050DEH vs P7050BT, the P7050BT doesn't have 7 band EQ setting which is provided on P6050 model.

i heard some player offer bluetooth and ipod capability at around rm500 but when u dig further for info, the player will need a adapter for it which will cost a few hundred bucks more. i think better ask properly first before purchase any player lower than rm500.
