So, ever heard of DiGi Campus? It is a new prepaid plan introduced by DiGi.

Basically, this plan consists of two wonderful deals which are Talk4FREE and Surf4FREE.

Talk4FREE
  • Once you have spent RM 2.00 of voice calls/SMS/Data every day, you will get to enjoy FREE calls to all DiGi numbers for unlimited talktime and call as many times as you want at anywhere, anytime! rclxms.gif
  • Every day's 12.00 a.m., your account will be reset and you will need to spend RM 2.00 again to enjoy the free calls. Every cycle lasts for 24 hours.
  • Once you have reached RM 2.00 of usage, you will get an SMS notification immediately from DiGi telling your tariff tier has changed. Upon receiving that SMS, it means you can start making free DiGi phone calls!
  • The call rates are as below:
    user posted image
  • Besides, you get to SMS to your 11 FnF DiGi number for FREE!
  • SMS rates are the same regardless inzone or offzone.
Surf4FREE
Regardless inzone or offzone, D' Campus charges 10sen/10kb for data usage BUT... The maximum charge rate is only RM 30, that means once your usage reaches RM 30, DiGi will not charge for your usage anymore. In a short and compact explanation, instead of paying RM 66 for the usual unlimited EDGE data line, you will be paying only RM 30 for D' Campus package. thumbup.gif

But...
Surf4FREE is counted from the 1st of the month and lasts for 1 month. Thus, even for e.g. if you start using it on 28th and have spent RM 30.00, you will only enjoy the remaining free data line for 3 days for that particular month. sweat.gif

What, Why, Who, When, Where and How?
  • What is DiGi Campus? Read the FAQ.
  • Why is this plan introduced? DiGi's answer: We've rolled out some awesome deals to rocket you to good grades and also keep you in tune with the latest happenings.
  • Who is eligible for DiGi Campus plan? Any undergraduates who are under 25 of the selected universities and colleges. So, check out the roadshows at your campuses! Is your university included in the list? Click HERE!
  • When will this plan expire for an DiGi Campus user? You will get to enjoy a 4-year validity period regardless of your reload amount as long as you perform at least 1 reload each year following your pack activation. Anyway, as read from the FAQ, DiGi will have another surprise once you have graduated. What is that? brows.gif Check it out here! laugh.gif
  • Where to buy? Check out the roadshows at your universities/colleges or you have just missed the roadshows in your university/college? Fear no more, you may have the chance to buy it again. Check out the list here.
  • How to buy? Once you have noticed the yellow truck has reached your campus, it means DiGi Campus is now at your at campus! Simply walk into the booth and give them your I.C. (Malaysians) or Passport (foreigners) and your student ID card. RM 10.00 for the SIM card with RM 10.00 reload! Immediate activation can be done on the spot!
Err...?
  • I don't want to buy a new SIM card but I want to convert my current DiGi prepaid to DiGi Campus, is that possible? Yes, it is possible but only during the roadshows and this service is not available at those outlets. No activation fee will be charged but the plan will only be activated within 2 weeks time.
  • I noticed that DiGi Campus doesn't suit me, I want to get back my old DiGi Prepaid I Like, is that possible? Yes, you may switch to other plan but bear in mind, once you have switched to other plan; you won't be allowed to get back to DiGi Campus plan.
  • I have canceled my DiGi Campus plan but I want to get a new DiGi Campus SIM card now, is that possible? Unlikely because your student ID and I.C. are already in their database as one I.C and student ID is only eligible for one DiGi Campus SIM card.
  • Do I still get to enjoy FnF rate? Yes, but only free SMS and not call rate because it is RM 0.15/minute regardless to any network or anywhere.
Any free gifts? tongue.gif
  • Free one survival kit for every new customer or plan conversion customer. It consists of a magnetic paper folder, Maggi Mee, Nescafe and notepad (While stocks last and may vary for every university/college).
  • You may be lucky to get free DiGi popcorn as well and get to spin the games wheel to win more freebies, if the DiGi games truck follows to the roadshows too.
Are you a user of DiGi Campus? Please post on this thread, you user ID and university/college.

DiGi can't just put a full stop at D' Campus right?! It can't be as everyone knows how creative DiGi can be just to capture its users' heart. Especially ehem the youngsters' heart. laugh.gif

Now you must be worrying the days without free DiGi calls after you have graduated from your respective university right? But fear no more as DiGi has rolled out its latest sequel of D' Campus plan - Fresh Grad Plan. biggrin.gif

user posted image

Let's see what DiGi says for this plan:
QUOTE
If you're graduating soon and you're on our D'Campus plan, you'll know that your D'Campus subscription ends once you've graduated. The good news is that we know starting work can be tough - there's student debts to pay and new financial responsibilities.

We can help you start your working life right. The D'Campus Fresh Grad Plan is a one year transition plan for fresh graduates - pay only RM30 monthly for a DG 50 postpaid line for 1 year!

It's our way of giving you a helping hand.

As extracted from: http://digi.com.my/whatshot/promotions/dgrad/index.do

Let me highlight this again, you will only need to pay RM 30/month for DG 50 commitment fees, for one whole year! That means, you will have a monthly RM 20 of rebate!

Huh? What is DG 50?
DG 50 is one of the plans from DiGi postpaid I Heart Savings whereby you need to pay RM 50.00 commitment fees and enjoy one of the lowest call rates of all telcos are offering. Anyway with Fresh Grad Plan, you will only need to pay RM 30.00 every month, for a period of one year.

OK... How about the rates for this package?
You will love the rate. drool.gif Refer to this chart:
user posted image

Wow, pretty interesting! I've graduated and I'm a D' Campus user, so I'll be automatically changed to this plan?
Errr... Unfortunately it doesn't work this way. Only selected D' Campus users will be converted to this plan.

Yay, I got the offer from DiGi telling me I'm eligible for this plan. OK, what should I do next?
Congratulations to you. smile.gif It is as easy as ABC. Just bring the letter, printed email or SMS (only SMS-es from DiGi as sender will be accepted) to any DiGi Specialised Store/Centre or DiGi Centre with your I.C. (locals) or passport (foreigners) to sign up.

Yahoo! I'm now a Fresh Grad Plan user, but DiGi only gives rebate of RM 20.00 for one year... sad.gif What will happen at the end of this 12-month period?
Well, you are a big boy/girl now. You are able to support yourself with RM 50.00/month. biggrin.gif Yeah, you will need to pay RM 50.00/month now instead of getting RM 20.00 subsidy from DiGi.

For full set of FAQ, please read from here.

the plan is quite complicated compare to UOX just a very simple plan, although i think i understand all the rates and other term n conditions. great offer too, especially on the free calls.. hehe

so, u said that call rates only applicable within campus area, how about the free call? also within campus area or not? and 36sen/min is to all networks (including digi too?)

how about friends n family? still applicable or not?

I believe I have stated quite clearly up there though I typed this at wee hour in the morning. biggrin.gif
Of course free calls within the campus area. wink.gif Yes, 36 minutes including DiGi. It says all networks.

I already mentioned in the first post, FnF is not applicable anymore. The call n SMS rate are the same as FnF rate.

The only turn back for in this package is I cannot convert back to my current package when I leave the campus next year.

Anyway its the old digi campus thing still active? Or they remove the old one and replace by D'Caompus
*
Well, a mere RM 30 per month, it won't hurt much.
I only top up RM 10 every time for my DC, finish only top up.

I don't think it is replaced by DC, DC needs registration and etc. wink.gif

Can say so. Those universities that appeared in the outlets list had their roadshows already, I think. smile.gif

As mentioned above, within 5KM radius of your campus area. smile.gif
sweat.gif You didn't know that all your current plans will be forfeited? sweat.gif
Well, I left around 9 months only... Then, I also don't have this privilege already. cry.gif

i already got Digi 1 plan... since DC cannot use FNF, n calls outsite campus are normal rate so i use DC for all calls to Digi and use my 1 plan for others. Theoretically i can have unlimited calls for just rm30 per month, but depends lor how i use it tongue.gif

its good, but not so good when outside campus. Still a win-win situation anyway

MMS still stays the same in or offzone. smile.gif

As for the RM 1.00 is only voice calls, that means if send RM 1.00 of SMS is not included. smile.gif

I'm kinda like u, I have another postpaid account with me. Digi prepaid isn't hardly in service, may consider terminate it if I dun have any spare phone.

You are able to convert back to DiGi Beyond Prepaid.

You were on DBP right? OK, let me put it in a simpler way.
DBP->DC->DBP
But after that cannot change back to DC, you want change to Fuyoh or whatever after that is fine just no more DC. smile.gif

u will need:
1. ur student card(might or might not be active, as im studying masters, masters got a different student card, but i apply using my bachelor student card.wahahaha)
2. ur IC (only malaysians can apply)
3. an active DiGi line or a new DiGi number

my advice is:
it is always better for u to register a new number for this plan even if u got an existing DiGi line..y?coz u might regret after u walk out from the campus region.tarrif rate are different when inside and outside the campus..

no D'campus plan at Utar Kampar yet? sigh~ sad err...hope it faster expand to Kampar..Btw, what u all mean by the data thingy? Don't really understand it as i am a noob phone use.. =(
*
Data line is used to connect to the Internet. smile.gif That means, you can use your phone to act as a modem, provided your phone has EDGE capability.
For DiGi's EDGE unlimited package is RM 66.00 per month but if use D' Campus, one will only be charged at maximum of RM 30.00 per month.

il like to amend the statement.as it is written in the charge rate that they charge rm30 per month..but from my 3 months monitoring..they only deduct rm25 each month..erm..still a bug living in the plan.at least its still meaningful as we pay less than it shud be.

Yes, will over once we finish our studies. smile.gif But DiGi has another surprise later on after the completion of our studies, nobody knows what is that yet. tongue.gif
Well, I only use D' Campus for mainly calls, so the SIM card is inserted in one of my normal spare phones.

No, you can't subscribe this at DiGi Centre. Just refer to first post to look for the outlets that participate.

Well, actually can one, I was one of the D' Campus promoters before. smile.gif Why can't you do it yourself? smile.gif
I see Setapak has one outlet that sells D' Campus SIM card: http://www.digi.com.my/whatshot/promotions/dc/outlet.jsp

Cannot. Need both I.C. and I.D. Oh ya, I just remember photostatted copies for these two cards are insufficient. You need to present them your I.C. for prepaid registration purpose. Sorry, I just remember this detail. Looks like you gotta do it yourself. smile.gif

Yes, the free calls rocks when it is in campus area. biggrin.gif
The flaw is only few selected universities/colleges are eligible for D'Campus, hoping DiGi could expand its D'Campus territory. smile.gif

All the details are on the first post. smile.gif Please read them, I made an effort to type them out. tongue.gif
As extracted:
When will this plan expire for an D' Campus user? When you apply for this plan, you will need to fill in the information of the month and year for your completion of studies. Thus, this plan will be terminated once you have completed your studies in that university/college. Anyway, as read from the FAQ, DiGi will have another surprise once you have graduated. What is that? brows.gif Nobody knows yet. laugh.gif

HOtlink is my main line. Actually I hv thought of porting to Digi too, but will it be troublesome? Like I will lost all my activ5. But frankly speaking, I don't really utilize my activ5.

Sorry, though I'm using this modem too but I use it for Celcom HSDPA, so not really sure about EDGE.
You may hop into this thread to ask. http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/416960

Yes. 4-11 to 4-12.
I think one day also you can reach RM 30 if use it continuous for few hours, then you will be charged for RM 30.00 only through out the whole month. No more and that's all.

lemme answer u, my fren.
surf for free is juz a package.they include the hp for u with the plan.from comparison: normal DC sim plan with payment rm30 every month is some how cheaper than the surf4free package.ok, regard ur question:no matter when u start ur data plan..they count from 1st day of the month to the last day of that month.

Eg: start-1November2008, End-30November2008

FYI, if ur having the normal DC plan, it can act as data plan sim as well..juz make sure u got rm30.01 in ur account and start surfing till they send a notification sms about the data plan of the month is FREE. from my experience:they dont realy deduct rm30 from the account. sometimes rm25, sometime rm26 and sometime rm20..and they start counting on the day u start using edge in that particular month.not activation period.

even if u start using it during mid of the month, it still ends at the end of the month.

Eg: start-21November2008, End-30November2008

link for operamini thread HERE

fruitie
to reach rm30, within 10min is sufficient.only surf lowyat.NET nia..thats wat i did..because they count in 10kb blocks..easy easy capai rm10 liaw..

fruitie,
i still use celcom broadband..juz wanna try out this digi d'campus coz i cannot bear to use celcom anymore..it is such a pain in the a** to connect especially at night..

i started using cbb since last june..first 2 months were like heaven coz i was able to get almost full speed all the time on my d68..

but after that it started to waver n last month it finally showed its ugly face..i have to try like at liz 20x in order to connect at night..n even i can connect, sumtimes the connection is lost for about 1 minute even though i ping continuously..

u can try asking ur friend in Kg. E whether she is under the same situation..

i wait until the end of this month for celcom to solve whatsover their problem..if still like this, im going to jump to the yellow boat..although not really fast like so called turbo speed blue boat, at liz im paying half of the price(more than half actually)..so no much comments though..

Be patient and I'm sure it will expand to Kampar as I believe DiGi are targeting teenage users, most of them are still studying. So, your turn will come one day or you shall expect better innovative plan from them next time. biggrin.gif

guys..
DC data plan download speed is 18kb/sec(1 download), 13kb/sec(2downloads) and 9~10kb/sec(3downloads)..the 4th download will be idle till one of the download finished.so..if ur comparing with streamyx or broadband..it will be deadly slow. However im still happy with it as it does not have disconnection problem.only sumhow when cache holds too high, it will go idle, so u need to detach the hp and reconnect back to clear cache..

fruitie
juz try edge for a month and u will noe its more than enuf liaw..but for a mod like u, i think broadband is better as u need to monitor more than 1 window.haha.my max tabbing is about 10 windows under 1 screen..loading fine.only those with photos and picture arent loaded perfectly..

I have just missed an opportunity to persuade a friend of mine in converting to DiGi just because DiGi D' Campus's off-campus call rate is damn high! Any DiGi staff here can comment? What the hell is DiGi thinking?

Not even a Fanboy like me can convince people to convert when your off-campus rate is damn high!!!

Yes of course I know that. I'm a DiGi fanboys remember? biggrin.gif

But its damn high compared to UOX which is 10c for 8pax and 15c others regardless of on/off campus and no "30 Days only" reload validity. This is where I lost my magic of persuasion to persuade people to move to DiGi. All these while I argue base on fact but on this UNIVERSITY package thingy, the fact in not on our side. At least for now (I hope).

when they reach 26, try to pursued them again laugh.gif ; if u compared D'Campus and XOC, XOC plan is much better. maybe after MNP and 3G, DiGi will only have time to do marketing on campus. MNP to them is too important

Why the students want to waste their money and live with the hassle of having 2 SIM when they can have only one from UOX? I just hope DiGi will respond fast enough.

UOX's rate is just too difficult to resist at the moment.
But if your friend hardly call and only sms to Digi, then he/she should go for Digi instead.

As for SMS only to DiGi. Its hard to find that situation happen in real life. Please don't expect me to argue that to them coz so far I persuade people to choose DiGi because i believe DiGi offer the best package. As for these Campuses thingy i have to admit defeat at least for now.

UOX good for both on/off campus to any provider remember? Thats the clincher that i can't rebut.

Yup, UOX's no on/off campus is a good deal.
It doesn't make sense actually to have the on/off campus thing, you're not in the campus all day long, and the time you will be making calls are mostly when you're out of campus.

Hotlink's Campus plan is the crappiest of all, off campus even sms back to normal, 7cents for own network doh.gif

hotlink campuszone is crappy..it always link u to another no. --> here my case: calling 012xxx5588 link me to 012xxx5587 damn always happen the last prefix always get screw up.. then there is the spam sms case.. 1 day maxis can spam u for dozen of time offering u the stumpiest deal. i hav another sim--> digi-d'campus.. use it mainly for on9.. y? since it max out at rm30 n i can surf every where around malaysia. as for cal--> it max out the whole day at rm1 to 016 only la.. as for sms --> i dont --> y sms when u can cal for free.. make sense? UOX --> data plan max out at rm250 <-- siao!! who spend tat much!! cal rate --> dude ur special no. still get charge!! either 10 cent or 15 cent to own network u still get charge.. calculate urself.. if u talk 1 hour cost u how much d.. think digi-->rm1 whole day (to own network n happy) off campus 36 cent ya agree it is on the expensive side if for digi bt so what u should hav another no. with u for tat.. as for me maxis. hahaha.. so u make ur choice..

Rightly put dude. It's about branding. There are people out there willing to pay a premium for that. It's like clothing. You can do with a RM8 T-shirt from Petaling Street but there are people who are willing to pay RM1000 ++ for Gucci and Armani .....

Some people want to use maxis just because

1. They can AFFORD it
2. They don't mind paying for a stable service.
3. Paid by their companies

So, when you talk to people with maxis and brag about how cheap digi is, bear in mind that they may think that you are just a bit 'kiansiap'... know what I mean....

If in business circles, you might want to think twice before you tell other peope you are using Digi... people might just think that you are cheapskate.... not good for business image......

Only if DiGi has D' Campus roadshows at your college or university. If they have gone to your campus but you have missed it, you can try going to any of these shops to purchase the SIM pack: http://www.digi.com.my/whatshot/promotions/dc/outlet.jsp

SMS rates are the same regardless inzone or offzone. ? I thought for offzone, the sms rate will revert back to normal charges and no fnf numbers applicable, meaning we don't have any fnf numbers sad.gif correct me if i'm wrong.
i got this info from my friends who were working as digi promoter and i almost registered for this package because it is really very attractive but when they told me that i will not be able to have any fnf numbers out of campus. Is this true? thanx

SMS rate is the same regardless inzone or offzone. So not need FnF. wink.gif
Still 1 cent to DiGi and 6 cents to other networks, so no worry. Just the call rate will be reverted to normal once you are out from campus zone. smile.gif

SMS rate is the same regardless inzone or offzone. So not need FnF. wink.gif
Still 1 cent to DiGi and 6 cents to other networks, so no worry. Just the call rate will be reverted to normal once you are out from campus zone. smile.gif

wow, this is great! thanx for clearing my doubts as my friends were a little blur since they didn't use this package themselves. So, for the call rate part, in other words, we will not be able to call for 15sen/min as in normal prepaid's fnf? all 36sen/min flat rate? thanx again smile.gif

Yes, once you are out from campus zone it is RM 0.36/min to all networks if you reload RM 30.00. Else, if reload less than that it is RM 0.48/min.

WTF with DiGi D'Campus????

My GF call me (DiGi too) with her D'Campus from her campus but DiGi keep charging even after RM 1,00. They suppose to give free call after RM 1.00 to any DiGi number as long as the call was made from campus zone. WTF DiGi!!!!

After RM 1.00 need to end the call and call again. Then, one SMS will come in and says, "Your tariff plan has changed". Then, only you can start making free calls. If no such SMS, then don't call and straight ask the helpline. It might be some technical issues.

2 questions:

1. Issit really within 5km of the particular selected campus/uni ? Y it isnt stated on the DiGi website ?

2. Im from TARC KL, live near the Wangsa Maju LRT Station. If the coverage radius is 5km, may I know if my staying place is counted as INZONE ? (Take the distance from LRT station to TARC KL Campus)

Thx. Waiting for replies from those who have the answers :-P

1. Yes. Why is it not stated in DiGi's site I'm not sure. This information was told by my ex-DiGi roadshow boss. smile.gif

2. I don't know as I'm not from TARC. Maybe others can answer you.

another thing is, even after rm1.00 u din hang up..the call wil ljuz go on till it reaches a limit..er..i think around rm8 sumting, it will cut off automatically.then u redial it for free again.but the credit after rm1.00 will be credited back into ur account the next day around 9am..dun worry.

StreetBaller89
that i got no comment as im living behind UPM serdang and my house is in the coverage.if u wanna noe whether ur area is covered..then i think u need to install a software called "google maps".after that from the google maps, u open the map for ur location.it will show a radius of the signal from the nearest DiGi tower in ur area.if ur house is in the radius, i think ur in the region, but remember u shud use a DiGi simcard instead of others..to play safe, get a friend with the simcard and try it at ur place.

So, it will give you back? I heard from ex-boss, it won't. smile.gif So you need to pandai-pandai calculate the time, once it reaches RM 1.00; then just hang up and the SMS will come in. Then, you can start making free calls. smile.gif

Damn! They should maintain 24/7. The operational cost is surely negligible for such a big orgnization like DiGi.

Was using DiGi prepaid before, on the MTV Powerpack plan. Friendly peeps on the other end not to mention a fast service. Would actually use back DiGi postpaid if most of my contacts weren't on Maxis smile.gif

The flat rate still can't beat my 8cents per minute call to my 10 fav numbers le biggrin.gif

it gives back eventually the next day.but if u left rm2 and u finish it on that day, disregarding the free call, u wont get to call out anymore on that day.the minimum requirement is rm0.01 left in ur line..but the rm1 extra will be return the next day, only that u cant call out on that day anymore unless u transfer rm3 into ur hp to revive it.

eventually digi is great but the dealers and roadshows management aint..sumtimes they give false info regarding the services and never want to reconfirm it from the centre.spreading out the news to increase registrations..damn it..

Yup, so freaking AWESOMEEEE!! but it's aimed at "students".. because they're the poor people who depend on their parent's money. Imagine how much money digi makes to give free calls like that? wow... sweat.gif

SEGi University College, Kota Damansara is D'Campus activated yet?

Might think of getting it since its free internet after RM30. Maxis Broadband is RM99 per subcription, too much for me.

The one that you are using is 3rd one already. The very first one
- No commitment fees at all
- Free RM300 usage to other network (SMS/MMS/Calls)
- Free unlimited usage to any Digi numbers (SMS/MMS/Calls)
- Free GPRS / EDGE unlimited usage

Digi won't go bankrupt. The reason they revised the benefits is due to some buggers sold those lines for few thousands and got caught.

Anyway I'm still enjoying the benefits mentioned above tongue.gif

It's the same as DG50, just that no commitment fees. Means if you don't use you don't need to pay anything. Also, the first RM50 transaction to Digi numbers (sms, mms, calls) is FOC.

Alright, added you into the list.

These two days there was DC roadshow in my apartment. Today one of the promoters came to me and promoted to me and I told him I was already the user. He asked, "was"? And I said yes, after I got my Ambassador Plan, I was no longer a DC user. He was clueless and asked what is that, after explaining to him. He was like "Wow". laugh.gif

Before I left, I told him I was one of the DC promoters too. laugh.gif He was giggling. tongue.gif

oh i thought i told my problem ady last time.

I'm staying in one of the hostels in UTM. So naturally it should be considered as in campus la rite?

well apparently that's not the case. If i call from my room, i'm charged as off campus rates, i.e. 36 cents/min.

I've called Digi and went to OCS to claim the credit each time i call from my room, till i got damn sick and tired of it.

kept asking if it'll be fixed, was told yes. But i guess it's never gonna get fixed la.. doh.gif

Oh, my bad for the ignorance.

DiGi is usually efficient in handling cases like this. If I were you, I'll bug them profusely until they get the problem fixed and rectified.

When Digi will have 3G?will have a special rate for campus also?

DiGi 3G had its soft launch already.
Special rate for undergraduates? Not sure thought. tongue.gif

QUOTE(Darkmage12 @ Feb 26 2009, 12:39 PM)

DC no more free calls even in the zone? btw i saw from first post stating within 5 KM radius means outside also can?

Yes, don't use then not need to pay. Yes. RM 0.10/min. This only applies to Ambassador Plan which I am using not D' Campus.
There is. Who says no? doh.gif

Is it? MMU doesn't allow MNP to D' Campus. Anyway, only during roadshow you can MNP to D' Campus. I presume normal dealers do not allow MNP to D' Campus.

the only indicator is see after u spent rm1 on that day, after receiving the confirmation sms, u can try make a call to any DiGi number and see the balance report reports any deduction of credit.if its rm0.00, then ur in the zone.

Anyway, EDGE is a good bet if you just wanna use it for light surfing. So far the users are satisfied because of the stable and constant speed they are getting.

laugh.gif Weird university. tongue.gif
Yes, recommended. smile.gif It is stable and constant but the drawback is a little bit slow, still acceptable actually. smile.gif
Most of the users are satisfied with DiGi EDGE. Just give it a try, after all it is gonna take up only RM 30.00 per month!

Yes, you need a USB adapter. smile.gif
No, you can't get a second D' Campus SIM card for you as one student ID and I.C. will only allow one SIM card.
Alternatively, you can use your friend's details if he/she allows. Just promise him/her not to commit any illegal offences using his/her details. laugh.gif

Possible but only at selected dealers and make sure your university is included in the D' Campus list else you can't enjoy the benefits.
No video call as DiGi has yet to implement video call feature.

I don't think you can connect to DiGi 3G with EDGE. Well, if you can then it is very good for you. Since you are a D' Campus user, the maximum usage is only RM 30. drool.gif

Guys, this may sound silly to come from a person who always helps to answer questions on this thread. blush.gif
But my question is I've started to use EDGE and I only have RM 15 in it to test it out, so it worked and my credit has been completely deducted. I still owe them some as it shows negative sign on my credit. laugh.gif
So now my question is if I top up RM 20 later and let it deducts my credit, will it still capped at RM 30? laugh.gif

Can understand my question? blush.gif

Get a cheap second hand phone from Garage Sales or get yourself a modem. smile.gif
A modem doesn't cost much, the cheapest you can get is about RM 200. Try hunting at the Garage Sales.

I'm using modem as I was previously on Celcom broadband and it is unlocked to all telcos. smile.gif

i'm thinking of using my old Nokia 6020 as modem. Will have to buy the USB cable.

The only thing is, i don't really wanna like changing my sim card back and forth...

Is this like possible? I buy another DiGi sim pack, but make that as my D'Campus and revert my current number to other plans. Possible?

I don't think so. Your I.C. and student ID are already in their database.
I tried before. I converted my DiGi prepaid to D' Campus and changed back to other plan because realising D' Campus wasn't feasible for me.
Then, I thought everything is like normal. D' Campus people came again and I bought one on the spot, they checked and noticed my name is still in their database and I wasn't allowed to register.
Finally, I used my friend's ID since she trusted me. smile.gif

Has anyone got their D'campus plan being switched to normal postpaid plan by Digi?

How would Digi determine that one has graduated ? Some university courses are 5 years, some people repeat their subjects , some people 4 years.

will any sms be sent?

I asked Digi , they told me they would convert D'campus plan to the normal Digi postpaid plan once I "NOTIFY" them.

I think this is rather preposterous as nobody would notify digi that they have graduated from Uni (to enjoy the unlimited data plan RM30 a month).

how does digi ensure that this system would not be abused?

TQ for clarification.

We are the users of D' Campus and don't do sales for D' Campus.
You are the wrong place asking this. Just look at the list on the first page, if there is no shop nearby you then it means no chance for you.

DiGi centres do provide these services, but normally they do not want to interfere.my friends simcard is a D'campus plan..after 2 weeks, still acts like normal plan.he go to Times Square DiGi centra made a complaint , directly, they as him to the front desk where they sell the simcard, register himself again and then walah..he is activated right at that spot.

i guess they all assume, all the students will start their studies at most in 21 years old, though there are as early as 19. then add the course duration 4 years, so it becomes 25.

and ofcourse this plan is targeted for degree students eventhough they didnt say it. its like privilege for the undergrads. master or phd students, i guess they can afford to use other plans...

I wanted to abandon it initially, thank God it didn't exceed 3 months since my last credit reload, else my number will be recycled. Eventually, I didn't abandon and using it for data line, RM 30.00/month but actually less than that. I started can use unlimited when it reached around RM 24.00. smile.gif

How come the FAQs state that "Who is eligible for D' Campus plan? The undergraduates of the selected universities and colleges."

I don't need to be in the Unis covered to register right?
