Is it possible that because I'm staying in a condo? I remember that mobile broadband are not so good at higher ground right?
*
Not sure, I heard Izzi Wireless broadband is the other way round, the higher the better. sweat.gif
Anyway, the highest I stayed before was third floor and EDGE was fine.
Though I'm working at 30th floor now but didn't bring my modem to test as company's broadband is like jet speed. laugh.gif

I find that taking out the simcard from the HSDPA modem is kinda hard....will it spoil the modem
*
Different model of modems, I presume.
Mine is quite easy, with just a push it will slit out. smile.gif
Just be gentle, it helps.

you mean push towards inside? my is 1 metal thingy which requires me to pull it out....sim is on the metal thing
*
Yeah, mine needs to be pushed inside and it will slit out. smile.gif
Oh, didn't know Huawei comes out with such design of SIM bracket.
Can't comment much. smile.gif But why did you want to pull out that frequently? Using the SIM card for other purposes?

I use Nokia 6630 as a modem for digi edge.. Just install nokia pc suite, choose 'connect to internet' in the menu and change the telco setting to 'Digi Malaysia', after that you are connected  rclxms.gif .. Very easy..
*
Yes, before I bought my modem for Celcom broadband, I also used Nokia 6630 to connect to the Internet. Very nice and easy. biggrin.gif

EDGE on my both DiGi Campus and Postpaid SIM had problem, very slow and upload speed was terrible.

Made a complaint, guess what it was done within 1 hour! When I called, they quickly compiled my number to the technical team. Cool. It was slow for around 24 hours, I should have called earlier. sleep.gif

Is it true that now, we can get the low call rate (digi campus) even if we are offzone? Outside the campus also can get low rate..  unsure.gif
My friend told me so...
*
Yes, please refer to first post.

*
Yes, but make sure your modem is unlocked for all SIMs. smile.gif
Some Huawei E220 are provided by Maxis, then it is locked to only Maxis SIM.

I dont know where to ask this but im currently on the Digi Beyond and i cant seems to find the rate anywhere, is it advisable if i switch to the new digi prepaid plan? The one where when u hit rm1/day everything becomes cheaper. I wonder how much they charge for call and sms for FnF if the rm1 hasnt been achieved
*
DiGi Beyond is way too old. sweat.gif laugh.gif
RM 0.15/minute and RM 0.01/SMS for FnF if RM 1 has not been achieved.
Anyway, this thread is for DiGi Campus discussion, you may head over to the general DiGi discussion thread. smile.gif

QUOTE(eowwl @ Oct 2 2009, 03:58 PM)
erm wanna ask, I already have streamyx at home and I now subscribed for digi campus for the purpose of mobile internet. I only use the mobile internet when I travel back to my hometown maximum 4 days a month. It's still cheaper to use digi campus than other telco for that purpose. Can anyone enlighten me about other uses of the mobile internet? Dun want it to go to waste.

Also, can the mobile internet be used abroad? How much do they charge?
*
You can use it and plug in to your laptop or desktop to online too, just like your Streamyx. Just that it is slower, I'm using it anyway.

I think you can but it will cost you a bomb because roaming rate will be incurred. sweat.gif

*
Well, I always download from non-popular file hosts. smile.gif
I only experienced once for slow connection, it was below 80kbps. doh.gif After restored, it is now running 150kbps and above constantly. biggrin.gif
Maybe you can, I do not have problem with my MSN. smile.gif

Maybe only fruitie don't have the WLM disconnecting problem. When you reconnect the contacts won't even appear until very late..... some people said my WLM got problem doh.gif
*
It seldom gets disconnected unless manually done by me. Not only WLM, I have no problem on my Y!M, GTalk and Skype too. Sometimes I do video calls via WLM and Skype. tongue.gif
Though I must admit the line isn't that smooth for video calls but still acceptable, at least my friends still can see me. laugh.gif

QUOTE(snowman.a @ Oct 6 2009, 04:50 PM)
what APN have to put on HSPDA ?
May I know what is the EDGE APN ?

My campus EDGE,only run 80kbps only at the very good signal,
if normal only 50kbps,if at the night time only run 10-20kbps only,
so sad..

I'm at sentul,around 17th floor.

any solution ?
i'm like going back slow than 56k modem time ...
*
I forgot the APN for HSPA because it is stored in my modem, will update this later.
APN for EDGE is diginet

That's slow. sweat.gif
I believe it is because of the high floor problem...

thanks you ....
but the P1 have the good signal even at 17th floor.
I thinks digi have to improve more on this way ..

wait for your answer ...
*
There is no use for you to wait for my APN because DiGi Campus has no access to HSPA broadband despite able to detect it. smile.gif
