Nevertheless, my area has 3G. Connected to HSDPA, stable. biggrin.gif
RM 30 for that speed, it is priceless. rclxms.gif

Yes but must first activate your 3G first, can either call CS or via D' Chat. Else, by pre-installed it comes with EDGE speed only. smile.gif
*
and to confirm. no extra charge right?? only rm30 per month even if u activate 3G??

No, for DiGi Campus is capped at maximum RM 30.00.
It is counted from the 1st of every month, and you won't be charged anymore once it reaches RM 30.00, and you can use it until last day of the month.
It is very easy to reach RM 30.00, for my case it only takes less than 5 minutes to reach RM 30.00. laugh.gif

Yes, no more. smile.gif
Ipoh doesn't have DiGi 3G.
Then buying an unlocked HSDPA modem is a better bet for you. smile.gif

how long is the validity of Dcampus??

Well, if your kampung has HSDPA then it will detect HSDPA, else it will step down to a lower connection service such as EDGE or GPRS. smile.gif
If you plan to use it for a long term usage, phones are not advisable as you will burn the IC due to heavy usage. It is better to get a dedicated modem because it is meant for heavy usage.
Every reload lasts for 1 year and maximum is 4 years, or age 25, whichever comes earlier I think. hmm.gif

cheapest modem??
should i buy the modem from digi??

Sony Ericsson has a lot of models that support 3G BUT most of them don't support EDGE too... So you gotta check properly. sweat.gif laugh.gif

On another hand, I'm really happy with my modem. wub.gif Been using it for nearly two years and still going strong. rclxms.gif

Yes, can. smile.gif I'm using it now but you have to ensure your modem is unlocked to all telcos, which is most likely it is. smile.gif

HSDPA = High Speed Downlink Packet Access
HSUPA = High Speed Uplink Packet Access.
Basically, there is no HSUPA modem in the market, the common one will be HSDPA, since Malaysian broadband services focus on high download speed. However, DiGi is the first one that starts with HSPA which means high speed in both download and upload. HSPA = HSDPA+HSUPA
Usually HSPA modems are much more expensive than HSDPA modems. For now, HSDPA is sufficient already. smile.gif Even DiGi mentions that it introduces HSPA but I can see that the upload speed is still not that high. Probably the expansion hasn't completed yet. smile.gif
So, my advice is stick to HSDPA modems. smile.gif

thanks fruitie..
i ask because i search got ppl selling hsdpa and also got selling hsupa in garage sale there..

Ah ha, so I was wrong, there is dedicated HSUPA modem? So far I see only HSDPA and HSPA modems are available in the market. HSPA = HSDPA+HSUPA

There's an alternative way for users who want to switch their precious existing number into a digi campus plan.
Since effective from 1st of november onwards, converting existing dg prepaid number into campus is no longer available,
users been rather sad over it and had been trolling the forums for answers toward this.
Fear not, i have an alternative solution towards this.

Though converting existing number is no longer available, Campus MNP still exist.
That means users can actually port out to other operators as prepaid and port back in to digi as digi campus.
This method is still workable and it have not been cancelled till now.
Though it'll take some footwork to travel about but it'll give all users to switch into digi campus without problem.
Users can head down to your nearest dss outlets to give it a try.

good to here this..

13. I will be graduating in one year. Can I continue to use DiGi Campus™ after graduating?
You will get to enjoy the 4-year validity period even after graduating. However, we will provide you with a Fresh Grad Postpaid Plan with an unbeatable value. This is to reward your support for DiGi Campus™.
based on the faq above, we should get 4 years validity regardless of our age rite?

i think u will only be able to use until 25..
see which ever comes first..
25 or 4 years..

It is illegal and not all SIM cards can be cloned. Do not try suggesting something which is illegal here.
However, Maxis has multi-SIM, that is legal as provided by the telco.
This doesn't apply to DiGi and other telcos.
*
im sorry..
didnt know it was illegal..

Yeah... And what's worse when you can only register 1 SIM card for 1 student ID. sweat.gif
Somebody actually offered me a cloned Celcom broadband before but I rejected the offer because I will put myself in a risky situation, I meant in term of compliance issue.

what will they do if they caught u with a clone sim?
