Upscale to 1080p, using av receiver

Hey guys, I saw some shops selling av receiver that have hdmi input and output, and u can put wii component cable into the input of the av receiver then output with hdmi to ur hdtv, so will it be nicer graphics? I mean graphics can be as good as ps3?

There are such converters, but very pricey for one that performs well enough

Go for Optoma HD 65 i think. Buy from Htkaki at the blu ray thread. At 3k sumthing for 720p, its worth it.
Also, on the upscaling, nah, going beyond 480p is a little tough. Afraid it will create jaggies. |

Is not possible, not for wii to be good looking, its all depend on the developer to make nice looking wii games. But the component which enhance to 480p is not that bad as well.

Doesn't it actually depend on the software? It will have to be developed for the particular resolution to make it look that good........
