1. Update to the latest version (v1.2.6). Previous version have problem sending MMS. If you can't upgrade coz your using ahem ones then thats your problem.
2. Make sure the settings are correct. 3. Did u activate MMS from your telco provider? 4. Did you fill out the Cellular Data Network in Settings --> General --> Network --> Cellular Data Network? 5. If the 'M' symbol did not turn green then it did not detect an active connection. Did u disable EDGE in bosspref? 6. Do u subscribe to EDGE/3G service? I know this is a lame Q but sometimes this is the culprit. |

QUOTE(frozzbyte @ Oct 9 2008, 01:50 PM) 1. Update to the latest version (v1.2.6). Previous version have problem sending MMS. If you can't upgrade coz your using ahem ones then thats your problem. 1. I have v1.2.6.2. 2. I have confirmed the settings as posted on this thread. 3. I can send and receive mms from my Nokia E61i using the sim card that is now in my iphone. 4. I filled out the settings as described by you. I tried setting APN to unet and net. 5. The 'm' still does not turn green. 6. Yes I have 3G. I can use 3G services with this sim card on my Nokia E61i. I am using iPhone 2G with firmware 2.1, I am with Maxis. _________________________ Some questions: How do I access bossprefs? My demo will expire in another 2 days. But that shouldn't affect functionality, right? Added on October 9, 2008, 3:54 pmUpdate: I went to maxis.net.my to change my service to 2G. But still no green 'm' logo. @Bernard Yeo
Since u can send MMS using other phone, that ruled out the problem with your maxis line. So now its the settings. 1. Can u surf using EDGE/3G in your iphone using the sim card (not using wifi)? 2. If u subscribe with 3G then the APN would be unet. APN net is for older sims (not 3G). 3. Can you post the setting in settings --> cellular data network and setting in Swirly for verifications? |

QUOTE(frozzbyte @ Oct 9 2008, 04:27 PM) @Bernard Yeo 1. I can't surf using the iPhone now. Previously I can with the E61i. Maybe it's because I went to Maxis' website to subscribe to 2G? Don't know why GPRS is disabled now...Since u can send MMS using other phone, that ruled out the problem with your maxis line. So now its the settings. 1. Can you post the setting in settings --> cellular data network and setting in Swirly for verifications? 2. I changed the settings of the APN to unet again. 3. Here's the settings in SwirlyMMS: MMSC: http://172.16.74.100:10021/mmsc Proxy: 202.075.133.049 APN: unet Username: maxis Password: wap Image size: Low (also tried medium) UserAgent: iPhone On the iPhone, Settings => General => Network => Cellular Data Network => APN, Username and Password are the same as above. |

If you can't surf the net with EDGE/GPRS then SwirlyMMS can't work too.

This morning the SwirlyMMS worked!! Both send and receive. I also noticed that my Maxis connection strength is maximum, unlike yesterday which goes from 1 bar to No Service every 5 minutes. Thanks for all the help!

Good for you. Now that you can test SwirlyMMS, please pay for it if you intend to use it. |
