1) capital : 100k, loan (PUNB @ MARA), maybe can get more
2) area : wangsa maju
3) concept : steamboat + barbecue buffet

well we went to this same concept restaurant b4 at Bangsar i think, and she liked the idea.
this is still very early in stages. anyone have info on :

No bro, I think she is thinking of a concept similar to B.B.Q. Plaza, which is growing in interests. The concept is unique, whereby the customers will just order the raw food, and they will cook themselves on their table. Same as steamboat, but this is using the "hotplate" style (or barbecue) without the fire concept.

Actually TS's sis still need to know how to prepare the "special" sauces. In steamboat & bbq, usually it is every restaurant different sauces that makes it unique and able to attract customers again & again & again....

Although most things can be bought off the shelf or through some distributor, still some need to be done on your own.

I remembered this business is mushrooming previous few year but a lot of them closed shop as well after awhile.

One has to calculate carefully the breakeven point of running the business. I knew it is hard to be precise, but at least get an idea how much revenue generated monthly in order for the restaurant to survive.

Easy or not easy is secondary issue, the most important part for business is the ability to generate profit and cashflow to the business.
