hmmm thangkai..........speaking of which me and my mum were given thangkai by the monk as well when we were at the temple. they were closed already we were waiting outside for my amulets since i sent it for wrapping then a monk open up the doors and asked me and my mum inside. bless us with water then gave me and my mum a bracelet and necklace thangkai. before he gave me mine he rubbed some kind of liquid from a small bottle he had kept inside his robes.

and about the jatukahm i oso heard ppl say pantang cannot put in pocket.most extreme one i heard is that it must be worn outside of your clothing not underneath your clothing. when i got my first amulet the monk oso told me dun put inside pocket but he did mention pant pocket and the pocket on your backside.........shirt pocket duno |
