basically it is a religon..and your question is what can thai buddhism do...in layman answers is...just like taoism and chinese buddhism..to protect and to serve...
edit:buddhism = teaching the way of living...
some say that thai amulets creates miracles and all...actually i believe it is up to our ownselves..wearing amulets is just having a respect and faith in the gods/buddha we pray to..
alot of people relates blackmagic to thai buddhism...some part its true..because some thai monks went sideways..but actual thai buddhism rejects the blackmagic arts...
