Are those apps installed by Cydia or by App Store?

If by Cydia: Those apps are flushed when you upgrade your firmware.

If by App Store: They should be re-installed (if not present) on your next sync.

@ Sam,
I follow exactly what they teach there, I think it's not the timing problem.
Which mean now I have to JB my phone & install the app again?
If so, where can I find the quickpwn for the correct version?

@ Wanderer,
It's by cydia, not from app store.

Thanks to 2 sifu willing to help me, hahaha.

hm...i don't understand

but for sure is, after u upgrade ur firmware to 2.1, your phone is no more jailbroken, meaning all ur cydia apps, installer apps, winterboard will lost. Only those you download from Apple Apps store will still be there

but you did say u follow http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1558 , meaning you jailbreak your phone again, no?

hmmm this is not applicable to TS.

but one mentality which has to be rectified amongst new users, that JB is not part of a "normal" iphone and hence backing up your phone via itunes will not bring back your third party apps back. the only thing which will revive your third party apps is to back them up manually (via SHH or iphonebrowser etc)

however, if you do decide use the backup upon restoration (which is not recommended by old timers here), you might release that upon reinstalling the same third party apps again, the same old settings will be there again. this is due to the fact that plists are automatically generated and thus backed up by itunes.

interestingly, things like "kb2" or your erica sadun's "make it mine" will transfer alongside your itunes backup. hence it is no surprise that when you do decide to restore via backup (and not setting up as a new phone), you will find these settings on a new restored iphone.
