QUOTE(Aggroboy @ Sep 15 2008, 11:15 AM) My 20sen: god your 20 cents blow on rogues.PvP support - Shaman I like the things being done to restoration shamans. They have more backups instead of just direct heals, can now decurse and polymorph. A lot of new abilities are purge bait, including top-end priest talents, so shamans who balance offense and healing will be formidable. It is more of skill-based class - harder to master and very frantic, but potentially more rewarding. Druid is easier to play, but has lower skill cap. Up to you. PvP melee - Rogue Rogues are arguably better than warriors because of repeating WoW trends. They traditionally are underpowered at the beginning of expansion, then progressively get stronger until becoming the top class (top class in S4 today). Rogues have more defensive outs, are less prone to CCs/kiting than other melee classes, and versatile enough to play in a lot of team compositions. The downside is they are extremely cooldown-dependent, so if you run out of timers you have to reset the fight. Upside is you can execute a lot of impressive combos, it is one of the more skillful PvP classes. PvP caster - Mage Mage has the most complete toolset of all caster classes. Defensive outs, kiting abilities, WTFburst combo, crowd control, mana recovery and spammable instants. My favorite class is the warlock, but the warlock has almost no outs against melee zergs, whereas mage has a lot of anti-melee tools. The main bane of mage for 2 WoW versions, the Felhunter, has been weakened considerably next expansion. the "trend" with rogues is the opposite of what your saying. they OWN a LOT at first then tend to suck later on due to bad scaling. arguebly after NUMEROUS patches on TBC, with the complete subtlety tree revamping allowing rogues to competitively scale through gear along with other classes (read: faggot warriors). those said talents, mainly comes from deadliness, and sinister calling, not to mention hemo is already a flat % based dmg as opposed to SS's flat raw dmg, and the fact that it has better energy per CP and better dmg per energy, AND has no positional requirement. and top class in s4? no. S3, MAYBE, and thats due to the short lived glory days of AR Prep. its legacy only carried on with shadowstep + sinister calling and deadliness scaling. and of course, cheat death. http://www.sk-gaming.com/arena/all/all/all/all/all/ http://www.sk-gaming.com/arena/2/all/all/all/all/ http://www.sk-gaming.com/arena/3/all/all/all/all/ check all the brackets, on avg warriors are beating rogues in their game (both being physical melee classes) http://www.sk-gaming.com/arena/player/all/all/all/all/ individual table HAI DRUIDS LOL |

QUOTE(Aggroboy @ Sep 15 2008, 12:40 PM) It's natural that, using all internet proof, we defend the underdog status of our favorite class. Heck I play a druid (badly), but let's look at it objectively. I don't like to argue with you, it always turns into sweaty a$$rimming and non-lubricated penetration. your internet proof is making a joke outta urself.Melees especially rogues just tended to scale better as the current version goes to the final stretch. The trend is not only TBC but also vanilla WoW, good thing for clothies that there weren't many kingsfall rogues back then here's one of the many internet proofs yarrr: http://www.arenajunkies.com/showthread.php?t=37751 do you realize that gladiator's consist only like... 5% (IINM) of the arena population? and EVEN THAT, look at the numbers urself LOL i did mentioned maybe season 3 due to AR PREP glory days. ur basically taking arenajunkies, protraying ONLY gladiator population, vs sk-gaming list, which draws WoW ARMORY DATA, from ALL REGIONS OF WOW minus china. think ahead before spread misinformation. i am a person that follows on the pvp world actively afterall. (though the recent tourney is a HUGE LETDOWN, farkin WLD fest zzzzzzz NEED COM RMP PRZ!) QUOTE(Aggroboy @ Sep 15 2008, 01:45 PM) If I remembered correctly, the AR/Prep was nerfed way before end of S3. towards the end nerfing yes, but at the same time they buffed shadow step SK is kook though, if you click on many of the teams displayed, you get abandoned teams or placeholders. also, despite abandoned teams, it is still more accurate than say, US realm gladiators ONLY statistic, dont you think? considering EU/US/Taiwan/Korea full teams are displayed on SK-gaming, statistic inaccuracy should be kept minimal |

QUOTE([^-^) fumoffu,Sep 16 2008, 04:43 AM] lolwut?if u are like me, a person who prefers grinding than doing quest, roll a priest. get spirit gears, spec into imp wand spec and spirit tap, take tailoring as ur 1st prof (for spirit based craftables) and skinning as your 2nd. u can be 1-70 in roughly 7 days /played and 5k richer. PW:shield, SWP 1 mob, wand until its 50% hp then pull another 1. rinse and repeat. profit. just make sure u get the best available wand from the AH at your curret level. the jaina wand can last quite a few levels too! QUOTE(silic0sis @ Sep 16 2008, 09:20 PM) For a look at more global arena statistics, you guys should check out: goto ming's blog lol, hes spreading china propaganda on sk excluding CHINAH POWAH lulzhttp://www.arenajunkies.com/rankings/ Check out the amount of Chinese teams at the top lol To OP: If you're interested in arenas, druid would be a good choice because just about every popular team setup in 3v3, besides RMP (rogue, mage, priest), has a druid in it. As a mage, if you follow American trends, your team choices are more limited, basically limited to RMP if you want to be at the top. If you look at Chinese teams though, you can see they have a lot of WMDs. Anyway, the expansion will probably change everything, so just play what you like more lol. =edit= btw, have you noticed the hidden meaning of Warrior Mage Druid ? QUOTE([^-^) fumoffu,Sep 25 2008, 04:59 PM] why?new resto druid 51 points talent beta build 8982: Summon Pillar(s) Instant cast Auto humps the pillar(s) on a serious note tho, rolling a druid for wrath is kinda interesting despite flourish/WG being nerfed hard currently QQ if they add a talent: grow forest then it could really be interesting. |
