I am very sure that the BLR -2.8% by StanChart has more much T&C ...
or it only applies for certain area/project.

HLB (in Johor Bahru) is now having a BLR -3.0% whole tenure non-zec package as well.
T&C applies, sign within XX days, only for specific area, lock in for erm.. 8 yrs and many more...

If that's the case then StanChart's BLR -2.8% is still worth it even though lock in period is 8 years smile.gif

Of cause it will have some T&C,but still it's fair enough if you want to get such rate.

The BLR-3.0 is flexi loan?
HLB have flexi and normal term loan.
As i know,HLB normal term loan rate is good, but HLB flexi rate is not good.
Hard to get even BLR-2% for flexi.

HLB loan is acceptable but not flexible and also with hidden terms and conditions. Prepayment for principal reduction need to give notice 1 mth before hand with prepayment amount at least 3 times. Prepayment for interest deduction - notice 1 week.

Are you serious? smile.gif I work for Standard Chartered Group and I don't think their rate is ever competetive at all. You have to look at the terms and conditions plus it isn't that straight forward I'm sure. The last time I asked, margin of financing is only 80-85%

I got my offer from std cacat last time b4 i join OxBC.

I get BLR-2% while the then market rate is BLR-1.8%. I think it's the timing

Bank's offer will be different from time to time. Today Bank A can be the lowest in market, tmr can be Bank's B.

It's all about timing and your luck. smile.gif
