i'm using this proc oso...
OC it to 3.15 onli with stock cooler, hehe...
252 x 12.5 @ 1.200v mem divider 3.33 @ 840mhz @ 4-4-4-12
Idle temp about 40c & load nearly 60c
but i noticed that core 1 & core 2 temp isn't the same?
Normal meh?

QUOTE(lex @ Jan 23 2009, 10:01 PM) Ya, i managed to reach that level too, but sumting weirdo will happen if i set above 3.15GhzMy P35 DS3 rev1.0 would power on for a 1-2sec than immediately self power off, than back on after 1-2sec later with all overclock setting remain & happily continue loading as normal It happen every time during cold boot... I tried tweakin it to many different settings but it still happen What's wrong eh? Anyone facing this issue b4? |

QUOTE(Liuteva @ Feb 2 2009, 10:52 PM) Wah! 1.6v! & u still wanna push higher? I bet u use a decent cooler which made u dare to do that eh? Watercooled maybe? Me no chance ler to do near 4Ghz with stock cooler this baby really need quite a voltage bump in order to bump For now, i guess i shud stick wif 3.3GHz until i get a decent cooler... |

QUOTE(Liuteva @ Feb 3 2009, 08:32 AM) Oh, no wonder la, kudos for that great cooler... I was planning to buy it as well but unable to make decision coz stuck in between Deepcool or Thermalright or Not-Yet-Released cooler from other brand that can support socket 1366... Want it to be future proof maa coz planning to upgrade to Core i7 in near future |

Ahha! Oledi got myself a 2nd hand TRUE cooler from a fellow forumer
This time gonna torture my E5200 kaw kaw... & let the FUN begins! Added on February 10, 2009, 10:49 amAiyaa... Even with TRUE cooler my idle temp is quite high at 44c, about the same wif my stock cooler... I was expecting it to be around 35~40c onli Load temp imho is low however around 56c My settings > 3.3GHz @ 264x12.5 @ 1.200v onli... Reseated it thrice already & the third time with EXTRA careful using AS5 thermal paste... WHY? WHY? WHYYYY!!!! HELPPPP!!! This post has been edited by vamfire: Feb 10 2009, 10:49 AM |

Hoho, been googling around & found an interesting forum in extremesys if not mistaken
Many 45nm CPU users also experiencing this odd temperature = some high & some low It is because of the sensor diode screwed-up somehow, not damaged but it doesn't show accurate figures coz it's not specifically designed for monitoring but for throttling (EIST) PHEW! According to the forumer, better do a calibration for Real Temp to get closest accurate temp which i trying to do rite now |

QUOTE(maxburnz @ Feb 16 2009, 07:15 AM) Ya, i agree with hackcremo, just a tiny bum for its speed...not gonna make a huge difference, overclocked e5200 will surpass stock e5300 for sure... But, who knows maybe this new e5300 can OC better? No one tried this CPU yet? |

Multiplier alone wouldn't translate to higher overclockability i think...
Some other factors affecting it as well e.g. good/bad batch, stepping etc. Speakin' of stepping, is it also M0 for e5300? |

It's typical of intel to outsource some of their productions(HSF) to several other companies for cost/time saving in order for mass production...
Many other electronics giants also do the same... Bout d performance? No idea, guess u have to borrow ur friend's HSF & put it into a spin then see how those two fares... |

The name 'DUAL CORE' speaks for itself that it got two cores...
like d e5200 of course whereas hyper threading is indicated as 'HT' still got people confused mah? Which one is better? Of course the newer dual core better for sure but if both were combine like the i7 then it gonna be even better i suppose... |
