QUOTE(sniper69 @ Nov 16 2008, 12:34 PM) yeap to be exact it's 12.5X, but i still prefer it 12X since that's what by default my board already set, need to enable 0.5X multiplier... That is normal as E5200 FSB wall is low in general so oc E5200 is kinda like QX,make up for lack of FSB with 12.5x multi anyway... used to use with E2160 with 400MHz FSB, but seems i can't go 400MHz on this E5200, gonna have need more time for tweaking process... |

GC is the big part about performance but well tweak system do play a part as well
To get the best out of mid end gc,you need something like 500x8.5,6MB cache 1:1 divider and PL9,or any setting that can yield 9000-11k bandwidth as you got to remember, texture is store on ram before being send out to gc to process so the best gaming processor is E8xxx as you could tweak it nicely |

QUOTE(vamfire @ Feb 10 2009, 08:44 PM) Hoho, been googling around & found an interesting forum in extremesys if not mistaken Wolfdale is known to have stuck sensor, that why give mess up reading Many 45nm CPU users also experiencing this odd temperature = some high & some low It is because of the sensor diode screwed-up somehow, not damaged but it doesn't show accurate figures coz it's not specifically designed for monitoring but for throttling (EIST) PHEW! According to the forumer, better do a calibration for Real Temp to get closest accurate temp which i trying to do rite now |

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Jul 15 2009, 02:33 AM) err.. wats the point? improvement in super pi doesnt mean jack in real world applications...u want to overclock coz u wan the PC to be faster for ur usage. unless all u care about is the size of ur e-penis la... Errr all down to what you do lar madman i OCed mine to 3.0...didnt feel any improvement, didnt see any improvement...reverted back to stock... and turned on EIST. SAME performance but save power...lesser heat...etc etc. If you always encode video or doing stuff which is processor intensive then yes procesor speed help Higher Clock also will help in gaming as it can gain a few FPS,in some case the useful one, well when combine with graphic card oc as well But if all you do is just facebooking, msn chat and some general office word then you can't see the difference between 2.4ghz and 3ghz And in I/O intensive task, all the performance increase on the 600mhz clock is masked by your slow I/O(HDD) Just my 2cents |
