i also have the same problem...
and i tried to restore it, no jailbreak, and put my sim card and rebel sim inside, shown got signal..
then i jailbreak to activate it..
after that can receive and send MSG..
however, when i make call, then will appear "call failed" and no more signal..
*currently using iPhone 3G 16GB with FW2.2.1 and baseband 02.30.03 and rebel sim.

iTunes Version :8.0

Jailbreaking software :quick pwg
Problem Encountered :i bought an iPhone 3G 16GB with baseband 02.30.03, currently no software to unlock, must use rebel sim.. so i bought 1 rebel sim.

i use rebel sim and my own sim card into iPhone, then it will shown signal, stable..
can receive & send MSG..

when somebody call me and i touch on accept call, suddenly lost signal.. same when i make call, will shown "call failed" and lost signal..

Steps Had Taken (list down) :
turn off 3G and turn on data roaming

put my sim card to other hp and get signal, then put back to my iPhone

tried to search network manually, select the telco that i using, no cure..
then now put it back to automatically.

now i solve the problem for make and receive, but the funny thing happened...

when i make and receive call, must use headphone.. otherwise will straight away lost all signal and appear "call failed".
eg. after make or receive call (plugging headphone), on the conversation, then i pull out the headphone, straight away "call failed" and lost all signal.. shocking.gif doh.gif vmad.gif

when make call, it can be done when i pressed "call" and immediately pressed "speaker" and turn on loud speaker..

what happen is that? pls help~~ cry.gif cry.gif
