nvm i can just change all my numbers to have a "+6" behind to fix that.
installed all the previous backup apps now.

erm, my cydia crushed whenever i tried to open it, it bounced back to my home screen.. any one got the same problem? mine is 2g, upgrade from 2.1 -> 2.2.. and one more thing, my apps can't be installed back to iphone..

Gah, don't mind if I let out my frustrations here as well. On 2.2 like the rest of you, also sick of the CallerID issue. Been following up day-by-day on the Hackint0sh and MMi IRC channels for days now. Finally got one of the mods irritated enough, apparently because he was sick of seeing me ask and yet he couldn't prove me wrong because Googling obviously didn't help, debated over the 2 different fixes (PLIST and mass-adding prefixes) for a good half an hour, left banned and kicked for 'insulting someone trying to help'.

Oh well, justice these days. I share your pain, guys.
P.S. There's new hope. Apparently, a Brazillian coder noticed my dilemma and contacted my on the Hackint0sh channels to comfort me, mentioning a proper PLIST fix coming from him soon, as Brazil's also bogged down by this. Cheers, guys.

You might wanna read up on the past 2-3 pages about that. In any case, it's publicly known right now that the old fixes up till 2.1 aren't working anymore as Apple has converted the original PLIST files we used to modify with the older fixes, into a harder-to-edit binary form.

Right now you could opt to either mass add the +6 prefixes to your contacts as a long term solution (please refer to the 1st post), or you could join us on the waiting list for the updated CallerID patch to be released.

P.S. Right now a fix has been released for Lebanon ONLY. It'll be some time before they manage to bring in all the other different countries.
