QUOTE(mangoman @ Nov 22 2008, 01:28 PM) Updated news from dev team: So it won't be long for sure, just for a few days hopefully as they r only left with testing. Thats the best thing I've heard in hours after the release of FW2.2 I think within a week or so they will be releasing it already. Maybe after Christmas I'll donate them some PayPal funds for their hardwork. Thats IF i still have money.

QUOTE(vailance @ Nov 23 2008, 04:55 PM) done.. all fixed.. Called ID fix from cydia doesnt seems working on 2.2.. nvm i can just change all my numbers to have a "+6" behind to fix that. installed all the previous backup apps now. FW2.2 rocks This problem doesnt sound good. I was just downloading the FW2.2 ipsw to jailbreak but after you mentioning about it, I'm having doubts already.

QUOTE(cscheat @ Nov 24 2008, 12:25 PM) guys ! for 2G iphone, any issues or problem after updated to 2.2 Unlocked/ Jailbreak ? So far so good in my i2g. Haven encounter any problem since i updated yesterday. Boot up is quite slow but other than that, it greatly improved in the sense of less laggyness in SMS, phonebook and all. Only problem thats still bugging me is CallerIDfix problem. Doesnt support FW2.2

I never encounter any problem with this before but I got a similar problem as yours. Everytime i try to go Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars, it bounce back to home screen. After restore, everything seem to be back as usual.

QUOTE(Samanoske Akechi @ Nov 26 2008, 03:19 AM) Gah, don't mind if I let out my frustrations here as well. On 2.2 like the rest of you, also sick of the CallerID issue. Been following up day-by-day on the Hackint0sh and MMi IRC channels for days now. Finally got one of the mods irritated enough, apparently because he was sick of seeing me ask and yet he couldn't prove me wrong because Googling obviously didn't help, debated over the 2 different fixes (PLIST and mass-adding prefixes) for a good half an hour, left banned and kicked for 'insulting someone trying to help'. Oh well, justice these days. I share your pain, guys. P.S. There's new hope. Apparently, a Brazillian coder noticed my dilemma and contacted my on the Hackint0sh channels to comfort me, mentioning a proper PLIST fix coming from him soon, as Brazil's also bogged down by this. Cheers, guys. I guess you are not alone. There are a few here thats been bugged by this and some even come to an extend of not upgrading the firmware till CallerID issue has been fixed. I dont think it troubles me coz biteSMS shows names instead of numbers. Thats if you set biteSMS as a default sms program.

Anyone realize they have removed CallerIDFix Collection and replaced it with CallerIDfix for 2.1? Funny thing is, it still doesnt work on the default text system.

QUOTE(Samanoske Akechi @ Nov 26 2008, 02:20 PM) You might wanna read up on the past 2-3 pages about that. In any case, it's publicly known right now that the old fixes up till 2.1 aren't working anymore as Apple has converted the original PLIST files we used to modify with the older fixes, into a harder-to-edit binary form. Right now you could opt to either mass add the +6 prefixes to your contacts as a long term solution (please refer to the 1st post), or you could join us on the waiting list for the updated CallerID patch to be released. P.S. Right now a fix has been released for Lebanon ONLY. It'll be some time before they manage to bring in all the other different countries. I didn't realize they updated it till this morning coz last night it was still 1.1.6 or 7 i can't remember. I guess... i'll just wait with you guys as adding +6 on over 700 contacts will eat too much time.
