I'll take the mediafire link off from the post. Btw, those are external links which was given on thier site when pwnagetool/qiuckpwn came out. Thanks. I too am having this problem; I've downloaded from both LYN & iClarified links. Windows (Vista) just does not want to run the program. "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access them." which is complete BS since I am running as administrator.

I have Vista, .NET framework 3.5, all my automatic updates are installed, and as a rule i've turned off AUC since day one.
And yet I still can't use QuickPwn. Ziphone v3 doesn't seem to work (sorta gets stuck at 'entering recovery mode' for a long time,) and WinPwn2.5 doesn't seem to have an option for jailbreaking with 2.1 fw.
Can anyone offer a suggestion? I'd really like to jailbreak my phone...

QUOTE(setoyo @ Nov 10 2008, 02:57 PM) Schattenjeager.. How about redownload the quickpwn..? I have man. From 3 different sources (LYN, iClarify, and a torrent). It's not the quickpwn, it's something to do with my PC/Vista's settings or something. I'll just have to find an XP PC to jailbreak it on...

Aha, no thanks, not sure I want to reformat an entire PC just to jailbreak my phone (I just reinstalled 2 weeks ago!). I'll find an XP-based PC to do it, no worries. Thanks for the help guys!

QUOTE(potion @ Nov 10 2008, 07:52 PM) @Schattenjeager please do recheck ur antivirus/firewall since it can block program from running and prompt similar error message as yours cheers Yeah I get false-positives from AVG on top of the windows error message. I've even turned off AVG altogether, and still Windows won't let me run the program. I know it's not quickpwn itself because I used the very same file off my XP Laptop, and it runs fine. (And for the curious, the reason why I'm not using my laptop to jailbreak the phone is because the usb ports on it have blown out. The very act of connecting the iPhone to my laptop hangs/crashes the whole laptop.)
