As for US iPhone, keep it to firmware 2.2 so that you can use yellowsnow to unlock, not 2.2.1.

DownBB refuse to execute whenever I've tried execute it in terminal o.o

You can try using the 3G Baseband Downgrader. It does the downgrade for you without having to do the coding in Terminal.

one to one change with maxis succesful.nice and easy, no question asked. they gave me the new whole box as a replacement from the faulty phone within 3 working days. the new one JBed already, and so far no prob watsoever.

i have already install the version 2.2 and i also already jailbroke it but the problem now i want to unlock the phone with downloading the firware from the cydia but i cant connect my hone by using the wifi and there is no signal at all in my iphone so how can i solve this problem

Purchased maxis Iphone 8gb and used with my celcom.
The problem,i got connection to the internet from no where...

From my,

Settings>General>Network > Enable 3G = OFF
Cellular Data Network = Garbage entry
Wi-Fi= OFF

and yet i still managed to update the weather, browsing

and i also realize that i not manage to toggle my Show My Caller ID from OFF to ON

there is still gprs and edge running

You need to disable the EDGE via SBSettings as EDGE is by default 'ON' in all iPhones. The garbage entries at the Cellular Data Network is merely a second step to prevent any further EDGE connections.

i have jailbreak my iphone to 2.2.1 with baseband 2.30.3
i found out that my boot loader version is 6.02, so am i still able to unlock my phone?

I'm afraid you can't since your UK 3G iPhone is at Fw 2.2.1 v baseband 2.30.03 and boot loader version is 6.02. Only bootloader 5.08 will be able to.

You need to purchase GeveySim or TurboSim to unlock for calls etc. Head to Garagesale as some forumers are selling those hardware unlock.

no you cant, Gevey/turbo sim will needed.

just hoping that 2 or 3 months later dev team will have the solution to unlock it with new baseband

If you are willing to wait then i guess it should be ok, it will be able to unlock it in the future, just need to wait until new unlock method by dev team and there will be no such date when the unlock method will be release. the price of gevey/turbo sim around 120 to 150 RM.

i believe dev team will not do solution to unlock the 2.30 baseband, maybe there will use baseband starting from 4.22 since it for iphone OS 3.0 and OS 3.0 cannot use baseband 2.28 or 2.30 because its different from new baseband 4.22( PLEASE CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG, HUHU )..
so i guess dev team will only do the unlocked method for 4.22 baseband ( please correct me if im wrong huhu...);;

Your choice mate. Buy geveysim to unlock your phone for calls etc or use it as an iPod Touch.
